Alan Wilson was terrific. That being said, I didn't know that Bob Hite played harmonica. It was Wilson (who was a brilliant harmonica virtuoso) on the studio recording, but Hite does okay here IMO.

What's even more amazing about this set is that Carlos was tripping heavy. He had taken some Mesc and it hit just as they took the stage !

Thank you for posting this! I'm with a lot of people here who grew up with Fleetwood Mac prior to Lindsey and Stevie coming on board. Not putting them down, but my preference has always been the years previous to their arrival. This was the period of time when FM radio stations live broadcast concerts like KSAN did New Years '73 with the Allman Bros, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels et al. Close to 5 HOURS LIVE. After that the love of money brought it all down.

This set gets a bad rap sometimes. But, hey - who hasn't been to a Dead show with either sound, lighting, or some interruption from nature? It's part of the show. Whoever came out to chatter was the nuisance. Otherwise, this is a great Dead set from that time period. Enjoy.
