Speaking of US CEOs of Australian car companys taking Aussie cars home when they went with US motors, i remember reading a General Motors Holden article about a Holden GM going back to the US in 1978 and he wanted an LE Monaro to take home but the 308 Holden V8 would have been hard to get parts for , he got a 403 Oldsmobile Small Block 6.6 litre ( the motor in the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am ) installed in a 1978 LE Monaro, it had a Turbo 400 trans , Salisbury LSD 10 bolt and 3.55 gears . This sort of fit with the LE as it already had Trans Am wheels, those gold honeycomb or later gold snowflakes were lifted from the Trans Am and used as the LE factory wheel so there was lots of cross over with the Trans Am , an LE with a 6.6 would have gone very well, just wish it had the Trans Am shaker hood scoop ! In the same article it mentioned Holden was well on the way to offering the Oldsmobile 403 6.6 Litre as an option in the late 1970s LE Monaro and Statesman , there was a batch of 403s already in Australia to go in but in the end Holden Stuck with the 308 V8 as top motor , i guess emissions killed a good motor combo . Its funny if you look at the 253/308 motor it shares so much with the Oldsmobile Small Block, Same port spacing that only 308ci and Olds have out of all other GM V8s, same uprite 6 deg valve angles only olds and holden have , Same alloy vavle bridges , same starter, i guess Holden borrowed much from Oldsmobile when desiging the Holden only departure is chev bore spacing and Caddliac oil pump and system . Wish i knew were that 403 ci LE is today ???? In the US somewhere .

Im not sure they will make a maverick raptor because the ranger raptor is already pretty good.

The commentor is off the mark on the styling comments. Chrysler has no fins by 62, Caddy was hanging into fins thru the 60's. Mopars forward look was totally different than gm or ford styling. Chrysler also didnt compete the Caddy ir lincln, that was the Imperials job and market.

The ford gt was a 2022 btw and honestly the twin turbo v6 is good enough, it was dynoed one time with no mods and had a peak of 700+ hp

Hardly a "street truck". 238hp from a 2L 4 cylinder, 7 speed automatic (no manual option), and it weighs 3700lbs. Get a mustang instead.
