In 2024 I still hate that his life was taken so short. If I could bring any dead celebrity back it would be John. The world missed out on so much
wow, John references Elton John's, then current, 'Your Song' .............and to think they became best friends later in the 1970s
Peak Jon Snow
Lennon and I were born and raised 70 miles apart, but Liverpool's accent and culture are like its own country (mostly Ireland), and he would see me as a foreigner..

Wow. John has been gone over 40 years and people still talk about him.
I would have loved to see John singing to Yoko, "I Want to Hold Your Hand".
1:05:40 “oh, god, Yoko, don’t.. say that” 😂
Wow, this is a gem! It really let's you see the man who was the driving genius behind the Beatles. But what made John so special always was his honest, down to earth way of expressing himself. He was a big kid, really, who was always looking for the love he missed in childhood. That's what gave him his hard edge at times, but it's also what made him so devinely sensitive and wonderful! This is just a guy who took an amazing trip across the sky with a rock band. He is fully human and so much more loveable for that reason. Hearing him now again makes me feel so light and hopeful. We'll aways have you, John, and your witty and thoughtful mind will always make us smile!
I just finished GOT 😥
This like any interview when Yucko was around should be taken as under her poison influence. Compare with interviews in 74 when she wasn't around. They are a 180 for basically the same questions
Preaches love but seems hateful. He was only human.
I think this answers most of the questions about what happened. John was fucked up on acid and heroin after being an alcoholic and speed addict Yoko hit the lottery by coming along at exactly the right time when he was most vulnerable
Townshend and Garcia and John Lennon, the best interviews!
without John there would never have been Beatles, it would have been Wings, still good but not Beatles--
can u imagine an interview with Paul being this interesting for 3 hours? i cannot
John changed his mind frequently on the music they made together and his opinions on his band mates. But he was never far from angry and bitter in any of his post Beatles interviews. I think Paul just enjoyed his life, their music, his family much more than John because he chose to look on the good (great) aspects of it. I think, for most people, happiness is a choice, but you have to work at it to make it happen.
John , your were wrong and klein AND yoko 😢
John knew the Beatles were the best. Mick Jagger said the stones were better than the Beatles one time and John went off. Lol
He seems angry.
Lennon was overrated in the extreme.
He said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. Jesus is still here but where is Lennon?
The fates gave to John a shitty childhood, for heaven knows what karmic coil, then they gave him Paul and the Beatles to compensate, and not even THAT was enuff; he was not grateful, so the fates took Paul from him and gave him Yoko. I hope before going he realized these dinamics, and I believe he did ... ❤ And ✌️
Every day i learn something new about the story of the Beatles, but what happened to John in may 1968 ?
We weren't meant to hear this. We were supposed to read the words transcribed. They couldn't possibly have imagined the internet.
If only as much effort went into the writing as the sets
Fave artist; any medium.☮️Zom
Totally revered for writing songs but truly an asshole
It's a Johnny bonus, the man always chills me out 🙏🙏🙏
Well, MR LENNON was surely a good husband, brilliant artistic partner + revolutionary. IMAGINE if that lunatic of a cowardly stalker decided to hang himself instead of hunt JOHN down in cold blood & inexplicably murder him!?
You'd think Wenner would be capable enough to make his questions listenable (soundwise) comparable to the sound quality of Lennon's answers! I just don't get it! EvenYoko is audibly hard to understand until 3/4 the way through the interview. What the.....
♥️ To Yoko abs John .He is the father to @Julianlennon
Imagine Lennon on Joe Rogan
He was a diagnosed Sociopath as well as yoko. As painful as it was for what they orchestrated for Cynthia Lennon to walk in on in her own house, she was safer to get rid of lennon. He's conveniently honest about exposing other celebrities but he is cleverly evasive when he doesn't want the public to know about his dark side, which is the biggest part of him. Yoko went after him intently and aggressively while he was married. Then she hooked him on Heroin, and he was lost with Brian Epstein managing his life, so he got a manager and mother in yoko. That is why after less than a year of marriage yoko arranged a mistress for him with May P. They all used each other. May was a 19 year old nothing.who had rich fantasies of being famous. She didn't care if was by becoming the whore of a famous person, so long as she was famous. John was happy because he had his cake and ate it too. Yoko, so he thought, was wisely watching his money, but she is the catalyst that got them entwined with Allan Klein who stole their money as well as The Rolling Stones and worked with yoko to split The Beatles up. PAUL was always the wise one and he was always the creative leader of the Beatles. John grew increasingly jealous and used yoko to break them apart. He went along with her outrageous intrusion into the Beatles recording sessions, screaming and bringing in a mattress and laid right there in the room! The others were so embarrassed they didn't know what to do. If you look at the many youtube clips and the Get Back film you see Paul sitting there holding back the tears with Linda and another waiting ALL morning long for John to grace them with his presence. That was yoko telling the Beatles that she was in charge now. I have absolute respect for Paul on every level and I'm sorry he and George Martin didn't legally have her banned!!! Paul doesn't want to go on record as given her the credit for all of this and SO MUCH MORE, but I wish other would!!!
He’s so bitter and childish here. Wish he could have lived to be as old as ringo and Paul
He's worse than a woman. His opinion is written in sand. He's basically a cranky old man 4 life. He plays the victim constantly. Still interesting for a laugh. Paul isn't much better. Always positive to John's always negative. George gave the best interviews. Ringo second. They were always honest. No bs.

One of the few good episodes out of S5.
Lennon's use of the English language betrays his lack of formal education here.. A strictly Working-Class Bloke, Lennon sure got lucky , he and his Mates....., Bm-Em-G.......Man, did they !
1:26:50 I like how John clarifies Paul is "stable" but not "straight", as John knew what a stoner Paul was.
1:30:43 John is deluded here. Brian Epstein and George Martin played a huge role in The Beatles success, they couldn't have made it without them.
I like to listn to john's interviews.I am a huge fan of him and is good to improve english because i am not american or english.
*Lennon, here, was once more reviewing his history at a fresh point in his life. He was also using heroin and going through therapy. These are major considerations to factor in. He was an optimist with a significant strain of pessimism running through it. He was also quite quick to follow anything that seemed 'radical' without his usual sense of cynicism as his questioning brakes. He was a witty and brilliant lyricist, not so much the figure of Jesus most would want us to believe he was. He was a man with all the same uncertainties that we're all faced with. Yet he was also very, very comfortable regarding life's tribulations in general*
So much self-pity.
Damn. Yoko was a useless thick headed tw@t. Meddlesome idiot.
This is when everything lack of time/money/work compared to season 1-5
As indicated by thumbnail, gender inversion V, isn’t John a Helliweird Satanick masonick, entertainment industry created, gender inverted, female, deceiver, controlled opposition-shill sellout, that deliberately mocked, gaslighted and misled the good public by masquerading as an outspoken male, entertainer and hippie peace and love truther, allegedly?
Great song writer. But not speaker. I can't get over him ending almost every sentence with "you know."
