I had taken 6 different antidepressants and a variety of combinations along with TMS, and various therapies. I then decided to try Ketamine but not until I first got my diet in order and testing to regulate my amino acids as I i was severely deficient. I KNEW part of what I experienced was because of all my body was lacking. When researching I read that most take 50mg to 150mg. 200/300 was the highest I'd seen. Once I spoke with my provider she said shes set on giving me 600mg. I was thrown off because I'd read probably 1000s of comments by this time over the years and I don't recall seeing a dose that high as a starting point. I was extremely nervous and I did not want to be. I refused to take that much. While studies repeatedly state that disassociation does not weigh on efficacy, people are still demanding a trip which is reckless and begs the question as to why they're taking it. I didn't want to experience anything more than what I was meant to. I personally see it as reckless to take such a high dose to start. Not knowing how I'll react to it. It can be difficult to find someone to talk with. Someone who isn't self diagnising themselves due to the mere inconveniences of life. And or jumping to this as a first option rather than those that are obvious. That said 😂😂 I took half. Within 5 minutes I was slobbering on myself and couldn't get up. I could barely hold the cup for the remaining time until having to spit it out. I was dizzy and felt sick. In a space between here and there. Hard to explain. I felt parts of my body to know I was there while at the same time I wasn't. I didn't wake up until almost 7 pm the next day. So. When I read that people are sitting up..waiting for this and that...and then are able to do this and that after I'm like ok!! Well WHERE THE HECK WAS I?!. I told the provider and she immediately said for me to go from 600mg to cutting the troche into quarters and If I could smaller 😂😂😂😂😂 I felt very depressed afterwards. These experiences are wordless to be honest. Nothing can describe the true magnitude of what it leads you to experience..and it varies so vastly from person to person. The positive is that I was only supposed to have enough Trocheys for 5 sessions. Now, due to the dosage being far too high...that has been extended into 40 sessions 😂😂 My question IS 1. What is the average dose you've been given? 2. Have you ever felt sad following the session and if so how did you keep yourself positive? If you did. 3. How did you find your sweet spot? How did you know what the perfect dose is for you? 4. Did you experience any heavy emotions? Did you participate in the excessive journaling etc or did you experience a shift outside of that? I get overwhelmed when they say to prepare, prepare, prepare. How can you prepare yourself to have a great day when the very purpose of doing this is to ACTUALLY feel what it is you've not been able to feel for so long? How can you abruptly gain access to that happy place to prep for a session when the core purpose is to be relieved of the blackness that has hindered that very state of happiness?
