They actually still make inmates pick cotton til this day ive done over 10yrs behind bars unfortunately and if yu refuse to do "work-crew" they will abuse yu ,not feed yu, or atleast put yu on lockdown for 30 days and after that 30 days they will have another work assignment prepared for yu.. prison is modern day slavery one of the biggest businesses in the country for free labor... They paid me 17 cents a day for 12 hours of work per day. Yu cant even buy a bar of soap at the end of the day..
