My longtime friend Yukio Ito visited me from May 8 to May 16 2024. We drove to and visited many places in Michigan: Mackinac Island, Paradise, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Pawpaw, The Detroit Institute of Arts, Meijer Gardens, Windmill Island Gardens, and Ann Arbor.

We drove from St. Ignace to Mackinaw City on May 12, 2024. I recorded more than half of the drive withCanon Power Shot ELPH110HS.

This is a copy of an old cassette tape of my mother and father singing and reciting poetry. They are George Clement Battle (Clem) and Anna Frances Whalen-Battle (Annie) The photos are my own nature pictures, except the one of the Paris school house.

All of my life, I have studied nature in my surroundings in Michigan. These are some of my best images of the things that grow and bloom in the deep woods and along the bike trail that runs through my area.
