We are able to lay cremated ashes, aquamation remains, and soon human composting remains in our Memorial Forests. We do not bury bodies in our forests.

My husband & I are reserving our tree today...my contact at BPF is that they will plant another tree, but it will be about the size of one you would see in a nursery, in other words, it would not be the same size as the original tree. Same would apply in the unlikely event like a forest fire.

hi, Corey~~there are markers, we took our oldest sister & a rescue dawg together in 2021; we put Ramona & Naboo's names with a quote. BPF has a very thoughtful & simple design on the marker...when i found our tree ( 2018)....it seemed that there would be individual markers...as it turns out; one marker seems to be the set design now....each time someone comes to your tree; a larger marker will encompass each addition....to me, that seems to be more comforting...i imagine the previous markers can be melted down & reused.....the integrity of one marker per tree as simple as it is; fits with keeping the forests as uncluttered as possible~~i would be devastated if any one marker went missing...the ashes we brought were intermingled with some soil removed surrounding our tree. not sure if it's possible space wise~~to bury someone without being cremated.....hopefully this was helpful for you. rita r. #675
