BMW M5x/S5x oil filter housing short explanation of flow
Hey guys, since I was exchanging oil filter housing on my M52 for S54 one, I filmed this short video with explanation how the oil flows though it. Should be similar for all M50, M52, M54, S50, S52, S54 engines. Filmed in June 2021, took some time to upload it.
BMW E46 | Custom lift +12cm
Hey guys, in this video I will describe how I lifted my e46 318ti compact by 12 cm. Before filming this video I already lifted the car by 2cm using springs from 6 cylinder e46 and by another 5cm using bigger tyres. The tyres were scrubing so I want to lift the car by additional 5cm. Offroad tyre size: 205/75/15, which is 2,5cm on radius compared to stock 195/65/15, my tyres also had rethreading...

BMW E30 | Heater valve & heater core & heater resistor fix
Hey guys, on my e30 the heater core started leaking, when disassembling I also found out that the heater valve leaks a bit. I couldn't find some complex guide on this on youtube, so I figured I could make the video when doing the repair. As a bonus I also changed the blower motor resistor which didn't work for me at any speed. Below you can see which parts I have used and dimensions for parts y...

Cauko prosím ta tie predné podlozky nebudeš náhodou vyrábať a predávať? Mal by som záujem
awesome video but i have a question can you modify m50/52/54 filter housing to run external oil cooler like the s52/54 ?
Not that easily, but I know there is actually an m50 oil filter housing which has preparation for the oil cooling so you only drill holes to the housing, blind the original path and add a thermostat on the hoses. But it's not that common to find it I think... i.imgur.com/2Dwg7wT.jpg
Cus, nebudeš dělat víc těch podložek pod přední tlumiče? Koupil bych nebo aspoň ty vypalky klidně:)
Čau, hele neplánuju, ale klidně ti pošlu .dwg. Někoho, kdo ti to vypálí seženeš.
curiosity question, when you put the + and - alligator clips on to test the water valve operation and it moves happily, what is the fuse/diode looking item between the x2 pin??. i ask this as my water valve looks as though this has 'blown' and i'm wanting to repair and test ??
Based on the video it looks like resistor, but I don't know the value and I am not sure about it. I cannot check as well since I have it already back in the car.
Hi mate! Thanks for the video it’s very helpful. About “7 DME M54” sensor, this one is not an oil sensor placed in the head of the engine? Seems that Realoem show this like an oil sensor. M54 seems that have a coolant sensor in the hose that comes from radiator to the engine. Thanks :-)
Hi Mate, this sensor is used for both water and oil temperature AFAIK :)
Very good video and information thank you very much.
Very useful info. Thanks 👍🏼
Good job !! You should share more footage of offroad driving from inside and outside.
Great video, very clear, thanks for posting.
Wow, I was thinking at a similar build with just the heavy duty springs they sell for the e46 but you took it to another level!
This guy has such a calming voice... I just watched it whole even though I don't really want to lift my bimmer. I don't even own one... 😁
Nice work!
Thank you :)
Hi thanks for this helping video What is the route of the hoses? Does the hose go from the head to the upper or lower entrance?
Hi, from head it goes to the lower entrance.
Well done. Thanks for taking the time to document this! 🎉❤😊
to je bůh
Hey i have on my engine 6. One . But temperature geuge not showing. Wire is ok. How can i fix it ?
Hi, this one can be only used for e36 gauge, so I guess you have e36. Try measuring the resistance between 2 and 2 pins on the sensor. The resistance for gauge at 22°C should be around 5750 Ohm (the other 2 pins goes to DME and should be around 2300 Ohm at 22°C). If the sensor resistance is ok, wire is ok, then I think the gauge itself is broken? Maybe ground?
@@EmilMinar i made swap from e39 m52b28 to e30 . On engine blog only one sensor with 4 pin. There no brown second one . Somebody said open hole to blog but its not smart . Im thinking how i make from 4 pin to e30 geuge for show the temparature . ITs doesn’t work
@@aniluzun2321 That's exactly what I wanted to answer with this video, which sensor to use for which car. You cannot wire the 4 pin to e30 gauge, the resistances are different between e39 and e30 temp gauges, so it will never show you correct values on e30 gauge. You need to screw the brown plug from e30 (in my video number 4) to the slot in the M52 block which is shown at 6:14 and 6:40. It's plug and play :)
@@EmilMinar i have e30 . Engine m52b28 from 39 . On blog ony one hole with 4 pin
@@aniluzun2321 Ok then I guess you have the double VANOS version M52TUB28? That one could be different to single VANOS which I have (the pictures with 2 holes from the video are from my e30 with single VANOS M52B28). Maybe you can use the same trick as for M54 as I am mentioning at 7:40? Fit it to the upper hose which goes to the radiator? Plus use the VDO sensor (number 1) which already has ground so you don't have to solder a wire on it as in the picture.
My heater core valve just started leaking as well. E30’s are a money pit but, precious cars lol. Thank you the help brother! Cheers 🤝🏽
This was a really great video!!! You need to look into *promosm*!
Thanks :) I will check it.

Bro your amazing, is the heater working now?? Im thinking of doing this instead of wasting 300 on a heater control valve
Yes works flawlessly :) I did this repair actually in June 2021 and no leaks since then.
@@EmilMinar you’re a legend mate. how long did it the rapair take you without filming??
@@wsyee7 Depends how fast you are, I am quite slow so I would say the heater valve repair took me around 5 hours and heater core change +2 hours. Really rough estimate :)
