@@WilliamYatesWellness im in the UK and 33. Im here alone though and a room of dancing auties sounds like heaven ahah my mum turned 65 this year and sometimes i feel guilty for being so far away. I know both my parents are very proud i followed one of my dreams but with them nearing 70, theres a little fear and guilt. Anyway ill stop trauma dumping ahah

@@WilliamYatesWellness awn thats ao nice of you. They are in portugal. Luckily they have always been very active. My mum and stepdads love going for hikes in the hills around our village and my dad spends his time tending to his orchard and doing garden diy. He grows hydroponic lettuce even ahah

You Can Do IT! It's never too late to get stronger.........Strong Body, Strong Mind. It takes a few weeks to build up the muscle and your confidence will grow right along with you.

That may be the prior service in me coming out, mixed with my Mother reminding me to sit and stand up tall. Weak posture and form are an obvious indicator of weak muscles, those are the muscles you should absolutely start working first!

Really appreciate the time you take between sets to supply explanations and/or give pointers. Not only allows our muscles a much needed break but also provides us with valuable information. And I truly look forward to your "Head, Shoulders, Out & In" movement - my favorite part 😅
I appreciate that. I feel the more you KNOW the better you DO, use that KNOW to motivate YOU! The "Head, Shoulders, Out & In" movement is added out of love for my father who passed from Alzhiemers related issues. I do the exercise at the end to remind you to continue to stimulate your brain as well. Trying new things is one of the easiest ways to promote healthy brain growth. I say you know you are getting old when you aren't willing to try anything different or new. Welcome to the family:)

I first started doing Will's workouts in an online program called Secure Senior Connections. Unfortunately, the program was stopped due to lack of funding. I can't tell you how happy I was to find these videos that Will posts. I have been doing the workouts several times a week. I am 77 yo and I can feel the benefits from doing these exercises. What's your opinion about us aging seniors doing deadlifts? I find that a full stretch towards my toes puts a strain on my back so I've stopped doing them. Any good alternatives please? Or should we eliminate them completely?
I personally don't like to instruct the Deadlift for the very reasons you are speaking. The best alternative for working your back will be some version of a "row" or pulling motion. You can do just about all of these exercises from a seated postion wich helps to remove the strain.
