Counting Your Blessings - a Bing Crosby cover
I first heard this song in the movie "White Christmas", sung by Bing Crosby and it became a favorite of mine. With all the stress and worries that can pile up, we lose sight of being thankful for what we do have, even though it may not be everything we want.
The song was written by Irving Berlin, inspired by his doctor who suggested Berlin 'count his blessings' as a way of dealing with insomnia.
Your life has more value than you know, just stop a moment to breathe and let your worries drift away. Don't snuff out your light, but rather add to it, each candle a blessings you're thankful for.

Come Little Children - Sarah's Theme from Hocus Pocus
Переглядів 526Місяць тому
So, I never watched "Hocus Pocus" and so first time I heard this song I thought it was a sad lullaby about a spirit comforting the souls of dying children and leading them to paradise, away from all their sorrows and pains. The song is much more sinister though, as the witch, Sarah, uses her voice to hypnotize the children to lure them to their deaths so that the three witches can live longer.

I do not know. I am a young Dr. Who fan, so there is still a lot of the lore I don't know.
They wanted to eat the children only a fool would think this is enchanting.
Oh the witches were definitely horrible and there's nothing ok with what they wanted to do. Me singing this is not condoning their behavior, its just a song that went along with my October videos.
I'm sorry Shammy he's kinda right, they weren't really that common for security and policing at the time but its when the shift to more digital security cameras was beginning and they would be quite common after 2001 (but not so much in the US). Release the prisoners!
Like him or not, Daemon was right about something, the realm will suffer if Aemond One Eye is allowed to rule, of that their is no doubt, Aemond has murdered his own family members, imprisoned the Smallfolk, destroyed towns and broken sacred laws, he would be the worse king since Maegor the Cruel.
Agreed.
@@shamrockdragon7634 Daemon at least does have loyalty and love for others in his life which tempers his worst behaviour’s, including those who fight under him, Aemond has none of those things, he tried to kill his older brother for the throne, threatened his own sister with death, coldly dismissed his mother, turned his back on his teacher and sent him on what we all know is basically going to be a suicide mission, imprisoned and killed innocent smallfolk because he was pissed off, terrorised his own councillors and let’s not forget, he was the one who started this entire war when he chose to chase after Luke into that storm.
@@t-rexcellentreviews1663 Yup, all true, that's why I listed him as someone who should never sit the iron throne. Even Daemon, who is better than Aemond, shouldn't sit the throne because he would not have the patience for it.
It should definitely shouldn’t be the one who nuked an entire town with his dragon just because he was pissed off… I’m talking about Aemond.
I find it funny how most ppl have a pretty good idea of who should rule, but so few use the common ppl as a pros in their argument. In a way the audience is getting dragged into the same apathy the ruling class has towards thr lower class.

😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It is a sad song.
As long as he breathes, he is a threat. He can't fight, but he is a symbol people could rally behind. I would let him bend the knee, but I understand why she wouldn't.
I can understand both sides, knowing the story I know a good reason why she should but going on the information she has at this point he would look like a non-threat to her. So demanding his head looks more like trying to push Alicent to make sure she is committed to letting Rhaenyra into the city, and also exacting payment for Lucerys since Aemond would be away.
From political point of view Aegon is much more valuable for Rhaenyra alive and defeated than dead. If Rhaenyra had killed Aegon then the Green king would be Aemond. In fact not much would change in balance of power (I would add that now Aegon is no military force, neither he ever was true leader whom people eagerly followed). If Aegon bents the knee and accepts Rhaenyra as a queen, it would weaken the belief in green cause ('we fight for our true king Aegon... but he says he is not the king, ooops), may stop Daeron from joining war. Aemond of course would fight until his last breath, but Aegon surrending would make him more a rebel than prince regent. So stupid of Rhaenyra not to offer that.
There's so many characters that fit into the tropes.
Yes there are, what other characters can you think of that fit in the tropes and clichés?
You made a great story here!
Thank you!

There should not be any debeating, the Queen was named by Viserys, there Is only a Queen . I like Demon because he serves Rhynera, the other two are two sick and sad people coming from a mad powerhungry house. There was a Queen, the discussion stops at this fact. Opinions? Since there was a Queen everybody trying to mess things up Is not suitable to be anything but a carpet used to clean dirty shoes over and over and over. Rhynera wanted to be Queen because she Is the queen. The others are just with her or thief. Someone Who Is not king or Queen but Is wise would stand close ti the Queen and advice her, never fight to rule. Those Who don't get this are thief and murderes willing to go into a war. That's where opinions ENDS.
I think it was mentioned in season 1 that if a woman took the throne there would be a rebellion from the lords, but how you stop that from happening is simple. If Rhaenyra's half-siblings support her, then she has their dragons on her side, plus the dragons belonging to her, her husband, her children and Rhaenys, and all you have to do is fly those dragons over the castle of any grumbling lords and they'll bend the knee. If House Targaryen remained united then the other houses wouldn't have stood a chance mounting a rebellion. It wouldn't have mattered if they insisted on Aegon being king, all Aegon would have to do is put his support to Rhaenyra and the lords wouldn't have had a leg to stand on. But Otto's ambitions are at the root of it.
Agreed, the king named his heir it’s honestly that simple.
You are looking at the show through a modern lens. This show takes place in a medieval society where tradition usually trumps law. I do agree that out of all the contenders, Rhaenyra was the most prepared to rule, but It is also important to see it through the eyes of people of westeros.
True that.
Aerys was the King. Fortunately for Westeros the discussion didn't stop at that point.
Nice song
Thanks!
