Adventures of Laura and Mark Newman Hunting, Fishing, and Bushcraft.

Experience - Challenge - Succeed
For Mark, the Bowhunting bug started in 2017. He was buying and reselling stuff and bought a couple of lots of older compound bows. He looked up some videos on them and ran across people like John Dudley and Cameron Hanes. After shooting one of the bows, he was bit by the bow bug. Soon after Laura and Mark went to Cabela’s and bought an entry-level Bear bow. Soon after moving to Hoyt. All he can think about now is Bow Hunting. More recently, he has grown fond of fishing also, his wife’s passion, for it has rubbed off on him. He also loves the Bushcraft, hiking, and camping part of the lifestyle, and just loves being outdoors in general. Which he sees as always a good day.

Beast VS Deadmeat V2!!!
Beast VS Deadmeat V2. Not a real Comprehensive Comparison here guys I just want to see how they fly for me. I Really wasn't shooting good at first today guys but I left those shots in to keep me honest. After Shooting the Practice heads some, they both fly pretty good for me. I'll be hopefully getting to try one or both in the field this year to see how they really perform in a hunting scenario!

Many reviewers have established the TC08 shoots 12MP stills. It's a repurposed dashcam with a 1/2s trigger. It works well but please get real about the specs. Also pays to price the Voopeak equivalent which can sell for 25% less.
A little flinch in your shot btw. Thanks for th video!
Good to know. I just bought one on sale from amazon for 99.99.
Nice good deal.
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers have you look into replacing the handle? Look up Aziak Carbon Fiber Handle
I have not. I'll check it out.
i'm going to Barview Jetty tomorrow!!! Trying out my new rod/reel and new net too! I'm ready! Got my beef jerky and need to get some shrimp for bait. :)
Awesome tight lines!
your draw length is to short for you from what iam seeing
So you did a comparison of two broadheads, and never used the broadheads? That’s a good review right there
Yea if you listened at the beginning, I said this wasn't a comprehensive review and that there are guys out there that have and will do indepth reviews!!
It's got walleye and northern pike whah??
Gotta practice in the rain - have had some good luck with deer moving in moderate rains or just after when all your gear is wet
As an old old bow hunter using fixed blade heads only for over 50+ years I have never seen the need to use any mechanical head. Other than “ I just want to” there’s no physical reason to use them. IMO, they have become popular because so many “ hunters?” don’t know about how to tune a bow and arrow combo or they are lazy. Mechanical heads won’t gain you accuracy. Fixed blade heads can be tuned to be deadly accurate way out past what should be considered an ethical kill shot distance. There’s nothing to fail on a fixed blade head. I don’t understand why people take a chance after spending all the money, time, sweat etc etc on a broadhead that can easily fail. It’s not logical.
Yep I mostly use qad exodus they are great broadheads. Just intrigued by the mechanical ones
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers yea, there are couple that have peaked my interest seeing them on Lusk adventures where he tests them in the dumbest ways, lol. I’ve thought about trying the better built most simple ones on pigs to see if they can hold up to hitting and cutting through a boar’s shoulder. Maybe a doe but not on a buck I consider a shooter.
Why are you punching that trigger?
Yep, I'm still working on that one. Thanks for the feedback
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers👍. Something that may help is watching the learning videos on “ bow only outdoors “ channel. If you would seriously try what he shows for a few hundred shots you won’t believe the positive results downrange. What happens later after you’ve learned to just pull thru the shot is breaking the shot becomes an almost automatic process. You will be able to focus your eyes and mind downrange on the spot you want to hit and at the same time you have already begun to load up the trigger by pulling straight back until the shot breaks. You will develop timing on the break as the pin has settled into its smallest floating pattern. You may not hit dead center but you will be a better shot because you are in control. There’s no more driveby hammering the trigger. What’s happened is you are in control. And shooting becomes so easy and way more enjoyable. It’s kinda like shooting a recurve- the feeling of just pull it back and let it fly. It almost feels that way. Anyway, 👍👍 & GOOD LUCK!
Yea I've watch their stuff and Joel Turner Going to keep working on it!
What worked for me on my ventum 33 was i took the stuby stabilizer off the bow. 12 inch stab off the front top hole. Hoyt sl side bar mount witb a 10 out the back.
Silver Lk seems to be real good or nothing. I do well trolling with a split shot and a dick night. Its to shallow with grass by the park to plunk. Go over by the cabins if you want to fish from shore.
Agreed, we have a kayak now we use to fish there.
I live seven hours away from Odell Lake.
It’s so beautiful up there! I live about an hour away near the Canadian border. It’s a place people need to go see😊
We also live close in Maple falls.
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers that’s really close also! I’m in Everson.
your video is great - except the background music ruins it.
Is there good fishing at the end of July ?
There was last July, but it was not legal to keep Chinook. Was fishing for steelhead. It's a hard fishery. We've only managed to catch one bull trout that we released. And at the moment the river is closed.
would i be allowed to ride my adult trike there?
If it's pedal or electric you can. We saw guys on ebikes.
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers mine has a gas engine on it. i can pedal for a short distance.
@fredanderson5544 yea, you'd need to check on that one. I'm not sure what the actual regs are.
Cool lake! Is the road ever open to drive to it? I don't live far from there and never heard of it.
Not sure on the main road you can park at the gate like we did and hike the 4 miles in.
Fenwick is a lifetime warranty
I feel bad for you. Okuma kinda sucks but they all break
I broke my dam rod today too, my condolences to you brother
That’s how I broke my rod once a biggo tree pounder
Ugly Stick Is A Good Brand And Not Expensive . 👍
Buy new one and return broken one
That sucks
Peel the real guide service sucks
Definitely a Bull trout. Love to see some on my home river still. Don’t hear about too many Bulls on the Nooksack.

Silver lake California?

I'm looking for a trail camera that films longer than 5 minutes. Do you know of one? Full watch. I have a lot of wildlife on my channel.
I'm not sure off hand one that can do that. I'll look around, though.
And you think the foxes will not hack this? Really?
No foxes here
Good way to strand one of your chickens outside all night if used as i think it was intended.
We make sure they are in every night won't happen
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers Then why not just close that gate by hand?? Seems like a waste of money but you do you.
Sick chicken dispenser
Is it too much work to open ɓy hand? You'd save a lot of money and screw amazon.
You almost messed me up, I'm sitting on the porch in the rain and watching chicken short and heard chicks going nuts, then realized it was a huge milksnake got one of my biddies, she's in a bucket now, saved the chick, about to drive down the street to dump it far from here. Beautiful snake, not welcome here, go eat the neibors cats.
Cool
What a waste if money.
Homie literally put his chickens in county lock up then let em out for yard time 🤣
😂
Link to get one been loving it amzn.to/3ydTijP
Link doesn't work, just a heads up.
Worked for me amzn.to/3ydTijP
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers I appreciate it. No idea why it wasn't a blue link for me initially.
The video never does justice to the degree of angle
So true.
Love some Bull trout
Looks like a great trip. Where was that little cabin/camp?
North bend WA
@@BroadheadsAndBobbers sweet. Thanks
