They consistently have a pretty high ceiling. This show probably had the most potential since Drum Corps Bride in terms of what they could've achieved if it was cleaner.

@@5PctJuiceyeah we had a lot of potential this year. I think it came down to a mindset thing. I feel like if we would’ve been more competitive as a group and not just some individuals we could’ve had a better placement. I marched vibes this year. And some people were really competitive but others were just there to have fun. I feel like if the management of the Corp would’ve been more competitive we could’ve placed top 12

haha! I got 2 minutes in and was thinking the exact same thing. DCI is so homogenized that it all just reads the same anymore. unfortunately.

I'm thinking that it's because most of the corps are feeding a few select top corps- like minor league baseball teams. So, essentially, there are only the Blue Devils and a few other corps that actually compete against them (Cadets? Phantom Regiment? SCV? Cavaliers?). DCI isn't exactly a "popular," money-making enterprise. That it even exists any longer is somewhat of an miracle or, a curse.
