I can attest to Randall's comment regarding respecting the conditions, however, sometimes the rough water can come with a benefit. My buddy and I were with Randall in July and wind direction changed quickly and we had a rough ride back to Walnut Landing. Fortunately Randall is an experienced skipper and although we got a little wet we made it back safely. The benefit came in the form of a bigger boat which my buddy decided we needed, and purchased, for the next time we fished Erie after our learning charter with Randall. Thus we went from a 16 foot with a 90 HP to a 19 foot with a 115 HP and deeper draft. Looking forward to our 3rd trip this summer this coming week. Hopefully we can find some of those Steelhead, er um Rainbow, or whatever kind of trout they are.

With down riggers' rod holders just like yours, and rocket launchers, lol, Gotta love that fishing man, good luck out there and yes the smaller bait small spoons, do the trick, I like your jigging vids too.

I think I'm missing out on Raystown fishing by not targeting smallies. Never fished them before so not really sure how. Unfortunately, I can't make the fall edition this year.

Spotlock is expensive. I keep drifting too much. How else can I do it without spending the money on Spotlock? I have an old aluminum boat that I can't put a bow mounted trolling motor on anyway. thanks.

Good job on filleting them crappie. I know from experience that sometimes it aint that easy. A sharp filet knife helps alot though.

Turn up ur sonar and watch the interaction with ur lure. They usually behave pretty well if you grab the base of their tail with one hand like a baseball bat. Then put ur other hand under their belly. Also, it’s not uncommon for them to struggle to get back down when the surface temp is high. Having a descender ready helps get them back down.

Any ice fishing on here? I used to ice fish still water damn PA when I lived in jersey. About a 3 hour trip but every single time we’d catch a dozen pickerel and perch easy.

I sold my boat, used to fish Raystown for striper lake trout and channel cats, I really miss my boat don't ask me why I sold it, lol, my wife now wants a boat with a cuddy cabin, so looking to getting a trophy pro or Sea hunt or similar, was just over at Sayers fishing off the bank did good on the crappie. The price for a Lake Erie walleye trip is that per person ? Or is that total for like 3 guys ?

You can keep 10 crappie, only 5 can be over 9 inches but the way the law reads 10 crappie only 5 of the 10 can be over 9, but you could keep 10 under 9.

I have a question. Are there any good places on docks to drop a light to fish for crappie over there at night??? And I’m in a wheelchair so has to be fairly easy to access. Any info would be appreciated. I haven’t gotten any crappie in yrs and would love to get a mess to eat. Catfish would be a bonus.

Back from camp today and finally able to catch up. Had a blast with the family and being able to jump on a few fish with you was just amazing. Love learning new things when I jump on charters with others who have a bunch of knowledge. I’ll catch your next live stream.
