honestly if you could make the kraken weapon work (I just think they're cool) that would be awesome. They are easily the best heavy weapon, it's not even close

I had a few people in the comments asking about this. Yes, this playthrough is segmented. Recorded one level at a time with all the wisps collected and hell hole finished before I record my run of the level. Only thing that's kinda lame, is the Mirror isn't even really actually 'needed' to kill Lucifer. I found that disappointing. Nice play though.

Original was pretty buggy too, I remember one time a snake got stuck in mid air and I had to restart the verse cause the game softlocked.

Your skills are so EPIC. I’ve been trying hard to pure platinum verse 7 but I always end up getting screwed by the fish atop of Iridescent’s head cause they respawn after defeating unculus. Plus I keep forgetting I can bounce off of the core to continue the attack when he’s eating buildings.

The hit box has got to be tiny. I've counted a few times where Arthur's sprite and an enemies sprite overlapped which should have been considered a hit.

Yea I just finished it in normal and I agree with the "updated", OP's opinion on this game. It has the graphical charm of the best looking GBA games and was made with a lot of heart. But, it doesn't have enough to offer for me to want to go back to it or even try a 1cc. The enemy patterns and level design solid, but as someone who has played many action and arcade games, I wouldn't put the boss fights nor the overall game at the level of say an Alien Soldier, or many others for that matter.

How did you end the second section with knife, and begin third with crossbow? Oh wait, looks like you recorded each section separately. Sometimes you have one weapon and no magic, but sometimes you have 2 weapons, hmm

I promise to deliver even more ridiculous combat scenarios on Act 3.😅 Also, if you have enjoyed this game, there’s a chance that you will also enjoy Unsouled. It also similarly features chaotic multi enemy fights and sick bosses. It’s on the shorter side so it is easily replay-able too. The only downside would be the info-dump tutorial section and not-so-intuitive narrative.

Bought it because of your videos and it is indeed very fun! Hope to see more when there is more game.

10:40 there’s a lovely juggling combo 😂 Great run! If I give you another tip, if you hook the purple creature on the ceiling, they will shoot a free explosive projectile. It follows you, but you can adjust the trajectory by weaving around the enemies or hit the projectile back so that the projectile hits the enemy instead. It doesn’t cost a focus meter too so it’s a good option when you can’t use the explosive attacks. Also, if you are using the Fungal Fountain + Cyclone Blade combo, adding a shock blast (by using parry in front of the spinning blade) can be a cherry on top.
