You will love the 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise. I did it on the Discovery also, and we had a mini suite balcony room. I just got back from Hawaii 2 days ago. We stayed in Kona at the Hilton Waikaloa Resort. We sure loved it. You have convinced me that next time, I should cruise there. Thanks for your informative video.

I went 16 days on the Royal Princess from San Francisco to Hawaii in January last year. I had been to Hawaii 11 times, so I really just wanted to experience a new way to get there. I also splurged on an aft facing balcony because I celebrated my 60th birthday while on board. It was super pricey, but I loved every minute. Thanks for your video experience. 🎉

It's super pricey 16 nights on a cruise, but you only live once.

Well??? What happened…dos you go? How did you like it?
I loved it!! The sea days were a little rough, but we adjusted and got our sea legs pretty quickly. There were lots of activities for us in the ship. My boys hung out in the kid centers a lot. So many activities for them! Because of the fire in Laihaina, we had 2 days in Honolulu. We did only one excursion the whole trip, which was volcanoes national park on the big island. It was beautiful! My favorite stop was in Kauai. We went to Poipu beach and we plan on flying to Kauai next summer and staying for a week. We booked another cruise for new years on the Discovery Princess. Mexican Riviera here we come!

I think we are on the same cruise. Leaving the end of Nov back in Dec. last stop will be Ensenada Mexico. I am leaving from San Francisco.. I am wondering how to pack? Guess I will bring both summer and winter since I will be leaving from Missouri? Suggestions

How was the sea days?
I have cruised to Hawaii several times as well as flown to Hawaii and just cruised around the islands. I prefer cruising to Hawaii from the mainland over flying but then I enjoy sea days going there and back. Cruising to the different islands is a great way to see what you may like on each island. Each island has things that are different and worth seeing.
Love sea day on a cruise, enjoy the spa, theater, shopping and the food, indeed, really relaxing.

We are considering a 16-night Princess cruise in June 2024 for our family and in-laws. We are thinking the same as you; that is, this is a great way to tour the islands of Hawaii without having to actually fly to Hawaii.
We're doing this cruise in August for our 30th.

@@davidfierro3650 Cons? Shitty weather. Pros excellent service at all levels,. a Cruise Director who was actively involved with pretty much everything going on aboard. Hawaii was amazing even in the rain. Our whale watch in Maui was off the hook.
Do you like island hoping or cruising better for Hawaii?
I've done island hopping on 8 trips, sailed on the Pride of America inter Island 3 trips and I have the Royal Princess from San Francisco to Hawaii booked for January 2023 for trip number 12.
So do you enjoy being on a ship more than island hopping?
