Studio Sem is a sculpture studio for marble and granite sculpture. For over 40 years we collaborate with sculptors helping them realize their work with our team of artisans. Some of the more celebrated sculpors we have worked with include Henry Moore, Georges Adam, Alicia Penalba, Barry Flanagan, Helaine Blumenfeld, Peter Randall-Page, Maja van Hall, Eja Siepman van den Berg and Anthony Abrahams, The collaboration between artists and artisans can range from simply supplying a high quality block cut to size, roughing out a work or producing the entire sculpture with our team. Located at the base of the foothills of the Apuan Alps, Pietrasanta is about a half hour from Pisa and an hour from Florence. Situated on the northern coast of Tuscany, for centuries the nearby marble quarries have supplied the artisans and sculptors of Pietrasanta with some of the finest marble in the world and the most masterful carving to be found on the face of the planet.
