We started our journey from Goa to Hampi by car. We had a stay in hospet which is 10km away from hampi. You can also stay in hampi itself.
The next morning we started our journey to Hampi.
Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore the intricately carved pillars, towering gopuram, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this sacred place. It is one of the best practical examples of science and is designed in such a way that the inverted shadow of gopuram falls on the other side of the temple.
Next, we'll witness the stunning Narasimha statue, a monolithic stone sculpture depicting the half-lion, half-human form of Lord Vishnu's avatar. Marvel at its grandeur and learn about the significance behind this ancient masterpiece.
Discover the Badavilinga Temple, famous for its massive Shiva Linga. As you step into the sanctum, feel the spiritual energy and learn about the legends associated with this unique and important pilgrimage site.
We'll now delve into the mysterious Underground Shiva Temple. Descend into its depths and explore the hidden chambers, marveling at the architectural brilliance and the ancient stories etched on its walls.
