I remember attending a jazz workshop with my friend when I was younger. It was a small, intimate session with just a few people. The pianist’s improvisations were so free and wild that I couldn't stop listening. I was entranced. After the workshop, my friend introduced me to the pianist. To my surprise, he let me sit at the piano and try playing a jazz scale. I was awful, but he told me to practice and experiment. From that moment on, I became passionate about jazz piano. Over the years, my friend and I attended many workshops, and I even started playing in a jazz band. Jazz has brought so much freedom and creativity into my life, and I will always remember those sessions with my friend.
