Pretty cool trick! Yes it is useful indeed! Btw a function generator is better suited for sequence alternation, atleast I find that. With the 1st gate you can do to the adsr and use that output for sequence mod.
Thanks man! Acutally I don't know why is that happening only when you patch internal gate. I tried with other gates (from Doepfer adsr and diff sizes of sqare LFO) but didn't get that skiping step. Your tip sounds great, to run the gate from muxlicer to adsr and back, thanks! I will have to check that on other things as well. Def. something out of the function generator in some cases can make more intetesting sounds than regular random step voltage.
