bloom and ambient light also changed, texture is sharper, when we match we say something else, I feel like I don't need epic setting because I'm getting more confused whether it's an opponent or a bush.

@@SanEliteGaming Very true. I find AA important to see in woodland areas, even then I have low setting. I have wondered what are the best settings for visibility and seeing enemies, not just what looks 'nicest'.

sure, Half-Life 1, it's just way more

Half Life 1 is good, but Black Mesa wipes the floor with it. Don't waste time on strawman's - I'm 39 and I played HL1 on my Intel Pentium at launch. Just replayed HL1 recently before trying Black Mesa and it is so much better. Improvements on archaic level design and mechanics are very welcome, and HL2 did the same. Took it all to the next level. HL1 has a certain magic to it, but it also has a lot of meh segments... HL2 is all killer no filler and to pretend anything else is ridiculous. You better be damn old, damn bitter and damn entrenched in your viewpoints to believe yourself.

@@SanEliteGaming in what way ? sound - generic , little to no gore at all , ai - braindead , more kid like less mature gameplay , movement animations are a joke (facial ones were the best hands down at the time) , boring weapons , no player movement enhancments for example leaning in short its was a console game with a physics gimmick (i was impressed by physics from Tresspasser back in 1998) in short hl2 its a good game but as a sequel is meh at best not to mention the focus on Freeman ego boosting for no major reason , Episode 2 was waaay better then hl2 and i knew that they wouldnt have the balls to kill off that annoying sidekick and if you want to play something with quality get the Entropy Zero 2 mod

hmm actually strange, there are some settings that should not be like that. I played this game on day one. the resolution I used was 2560x1440p Supersampling off and it depends on the presets settings only noo tweak or optimize

Is low and ultra 🤣 it's hard to see the difference, but if you look closely the shadows are softer and the rendering is better on ultra. this is a 2010 game for ps3 and xbox 360 no wonder the graphics are very simple and yes it's still the same as the original games without any big changes, PC now days can run easyly, this games have good port too on PC.

yes, the shadows are smoother in ultra and the render is sharper on ultra

@@lukario223 the SH 2 kinda not optimized enough, but you can see the density is noticeable, and also hair simulation on ultra.

@SanEliteGaming I love this game but devs are just too lazy to optimize UE5 complexity. But there is more difference on GI after Ray Tracing enabled

@lukario223 exactly, poor optimizations from dev, some player doing optimizations itself, in other case, I never use ray tracing cause the GPU is a mid range GPU

Oh I noticed, my bad I think I put the clip in the wrong place. here's the explanation. the low quality is more sharper than high. because anti-aliasing is off, on the other hand high gives a touch of texture, shadow, also bloom and light but not sharp because anti-aliasing makes the surface smooth. and the fps obtained is much more in low

yep, the games have standard preset on the settings

the only difference is in the sharpness of the texture and ambient occlusion, if you play at 4k you will feel the difference in image quality.

There are minor differences, the biggest one I noticed is more and higher quality "volumetric", mostly in the distance. But there are smother shadows and light on some places. More intense ambient occlusion. But most of the time hardly matter.
