My name is Paul Sturrock, not the EX Football player / Manager hence The Cyclist in my title. I have a background in BMX racing in the 80s and also in the 2010s. During this time I bought my first road bike and I dove head-first into the wonderful world of road cycling.
At first, it was just as long endurance training rides as an escape. As I started riding my bike more, it gave me that much-needed time to destress and help my mental health, something that I have suffered from for a few years, before it became the NEW buzzword. What started as just some short and easy local rides, soon turned into something much more than that! An obsession... one of the positive kind.
I've now done a hell of a lot of cycling, ...I am not one to shy away from a challenge, I've pushed myself to my physical and mental limits.
