Captain Marvel did amazing at the box office and look how that turned out. :D Deadpool 3 was great, but does it reassure you, that because of it the next few movies have to be better now than Love and Thunder or Quantumania or Eternals etc. ? Because it sure doesn’t for me.

It is an AI voiceover I literally say it in the first second of the video xd The backgroud clips are just the trailers, unfortunately there isn’t much more footage available from the movie this early on, and I have to chop them up into smaller bits and mix them up a bit so it doesn’t get copyrighted. Maybe I overdid it a bit, it’s hard to tell what is the sweat spot for the algorythm gods checking these things :D

That’s a fair argument. I’m sure it also works better in the original videogame format, as it’s in nature more abstract and you can ran with more over the top or silly stuff, and it becomes a biz more scuffed once it’s in live-action with real people. And it’s also completely possible that I just give too much reason / moral credit to these big corpo CEO-s who just got infinitely bored and indifferent when it comes to the world around them.

He was present for a meeting that was detailing the destruction of the world, as a meeting of the minds. Mr. House says Verbatim. "It's a fun idea. There's a lot of earning potential with the end of the world but we're talking about making a significant investment. How can you guarantee the results?" He wasn't in on it you say?

It’s possible sure. Season 2 will confirm it most likely. I theorised under a previous comment how they might’ve removed Cooper’s wife from power after he gets catched spying on them (we see him as a failed actor and gossiped as a communist, so that will very likely happen early next season) and that can explain why they lost their vault-rights by the time the bombs dropped. You also have to keep in mind that they were very much time-pressured by investors and the war ending in piece, so to prevent that, they might got forced into dropping them earlier then they planned to.

@@Kotiha_Studio But that requires additional complications. America was already preparing for the bombs to get dropped. What Barb told those CEOs was that Vault Tec would do it themselves -- as a contingency, if the bombs never got dropped otherwise.

Maybe, but after all that build-up it would be pretty weird feom a writing perspective if they didn’t do it eventually. My theory would be that Cooper will probably get caught spying, so the board deems her wife to be a liability, and either she gets fired from the company, or maybe Vault-Tec has her as some kind of hostage to blackmail Cooper not to talk. So then she can’t have a say anymore to when they should drop the bombs.

@@Kotiha_Studio it's pretty obvious that while they might have been planning it (or just saying it to get the money), china dropped the nukes because US has been winning recently. and yes, the whole point is that it's a stupid corpo being stupid. you obv never worked in a corpo nor played the original games.

But then why couldn’t the war just naturally escalate to the point where one side desides to drop the bombs as a desperate last attempt or something ? Idk it just felt a bit forced to make Vault-Tec do it for some extra shock value that’s all.

its not the vault tek logo this has been disproved. but yeah its been a theory since the first game people just shoot super mutants and raider they dont pay attention to anything thats not surface level

Well the point of the video was to talk about the topic based on just the show itself. You can’t really expect the average viewers to have any prior knowledge from the games. But I want to play some of them eventually, it’s just such a time sink 😆

@beyreli3988 By that logic you shouldn’t be talking about a new Fifa game or a James bond movie because you haven’t experienced all the previous ones ? I get what you mean but this isn’t exactly a situation where for example I talk about the sequel movie “X” 2 without ever seeing “X” 1 and then I complain about having no idea what’s going on. I’m sure if you’d ask the creators of the show they would say that it’s made for a broad audiance to be enjoyed and understood regardless of your knowledge about the games. I know that playing them gives a lot of useful extra context to it, and that my views and opinions of the show are very limited because of it. That’s why I said that feel free to correct me or add some extra context if you have a more layered knowledge of the subject. But saying that you just shouldn’t talk about it at all if you don’t is just a bit silly to me. :D

I said multiple times in the video that I really love the series what do you mean ? 😅 I just don’t think it’s perfect and I like talking about things that I think could’ve been written a bit better that’s all. You don’t have to take it that seriously :D

Well obviously it’s not, but it’s just pretty standard youtube title-ing in my opinion. It’s not there to lie to anyone, it just simply sounds better than “the 5th kinda stupid thing I saw this week”. But i get what you mean, I will try to be more sophisticated with it in the future. :D

because this is a solution in search for a problem, the original Fallout devs have already given a reason why the bombs dropped. The American's kept pushing FEV research despite China and the international community demanded them to stop. The nukes were responding to the Americans using the FEV.

Obviously we know that most of the story is played out to be absurd and funny, that doesn’t mean we can’t say when something is stupid :D

I didn’t really get why people got hung up on the title so much, I didn’t think it was anything that special, but I changed it a bit if that was the common conclusion, maybe I’ll do it again if I have a better idea. I want to make content that people enjoy and are satisfied with at the end of the day :D

Yeah, I get what you mean. For me the problem is with a 3 part splitting is that the middle movie would just be significantly less eventful compared to the other two, which could kill the momentum and the hype for the 3rd one. But maybe we can try it out the next time when we remake it 30 years from now 😆

For example: (1) The aftermath of the attack as the remaining Atreides try to find the Fremen while evading Sardaukar in the desert. (This is covered in the book.) (2) Paul's duel with Jamis, but enroute to Sietch Tabr and under shelter of rocks, as in the book. (3) The ongoing Feydakin attacks sabotaging Harkonnen spice mining operations. (4) The plotting between the Baron and Feyd Harkonnen, which was omitted from the film. (5) The infiltration of the Fremen by the Sardaukar and their attempted assassination of Paul, which was also omitted from the film. (6) The eventual destruction of Sietch Tabr, in which Paul and Chani lose their firstborn, portrayed as a climatic battle, would serve as a stinging defeat and a "downer" ending for the second film. The gaps between the films lend themselves to time jumps, so the second film could cover the period between the fall of House Atreides (on Arrakis) and the rise of Paul Maud'dib, several years later. The novel is actually comprised of 3 (not 2) separate books: Dune, Maud'dib and The Prophet, each of which could be adapted into a film, with some events moved around as required, to achieve the desired pacing while ensuring there's enough action. (This was the approach taken by the 2000 TV mini-series adaptation, which had 3 episodes, each named after one of the 3 books in the novel.)
