A short overview of the process of turning an 8' Black Walnut slab into my Bell Bottom Bench. The process used a primarily hand tools beyond the rough in stage. In making this choice I actively committed to the art and meditation of Wabi Sabi. Each leg, and every surface caries a certain amount of imperfection. This acceptance was a commitment to balance and a certain kind of tactile experience...

Follow along as I build a custom black walnut and black danish paper chord seat from locally grown lumber. The aeat was constructed using the most traditional Danish weaving techniques yielding a strong, beautiful and durable result that can be used for generations and returned to the forest when it can no longer be repaired

    Beautiful chair, love the weave. I've been a pro for 50 years and still stay away for chairs. Not so sure I could make one that wouldn't fall over with someone sitting in it. 🤧 You're simple straight forward work could encourage others that wanted to get into woodworking, especially without all the glitzy tools out there. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more videos.
