Yikes a not so good run on FS 606.

The owner of this manual transmission Jeep bought it used and was having difficulty getting it into 4low. This was his 1st time off road with it. He previously drove side by sides off road. I told him afterwards that there is no shame in getting a pull up / over an obstacle. Better to do that than roll a vehicle.

Disassemble and find the issue. These revolvers a simple to work on.
This exact thing happened on a brand new super gp100 I got… from their custom shop. And an sp101 match champion that had the trigger fully stuck in the rearward position when I tried to dry fire it. Luckily I test my guns before even loading them, or that could have led to a serious unintentional discharge if trying to decock on a live round. And another sp101 match champion in 4 inch that literally had the “optimized hammer shims” come out of the back of the gun before even firing it. Long story short Ruger’s quality control is an absolute disgrace. I told their customer service that they should be ashamed at how familiar people are with them and returning guns. It’s a terrible sign when people always throw in how great their customer service. How about you clowns make a gun that doesn’t need to be sent back to the factory. I’m literally about to send back 4 new rugers at once to them. They should be ashamed. Why do I still buy from them? Because the products they intend to sell, as engineered, are top quality above even smith performance center, and I have a few of those too. The problem is engineering a product to perfection, and assembling a product to perfection are two very different things. I’m guessing the production operators at ruger have a gun to their head practically at mass producing these revolvers. A lot of the clowns that work there probably think they’re so good, they don’t even know they are ham handedly assembling a precision instrument. That’s all I’ve gotta say about that.
This was an ammo issue. I was shooting 158gr lead round nose PPU 38 special through it when it locked up. Turns out that ammo caked the cylinder pin. The simple fix was to remove the cylinder and clean the cylinder pin. FMJ or JHP wouldn't have caused that issue.
@ happened on a brand new one for me. Everything 100% clean so I doubt at least mine was caused by non jacketed ammo, which they probably don’t test guns with at the factory anyways. Have you disassembled that revolver before this issue happened? How do you know it wasn’t just fouled up internals from the factory?
@@Whateveryousay31 It fired just fine previously with JHP 357 mag. I've since traded off the gun for something else. I have a pair of Ruger Security Six revolvers that I prefer over the GP100 for their lighter weight.
@@drobs7279 there’s no way that ruger would engineer the gp100 to malfunction with non jacketed loads, especially on a sidearm geared towards hunters. There must be more to the story, but you were smart to sell it off. The older rugers built the reputation they tarnished with me with malfunctioning new production guns.
So much fun in the MT forest around roaring River!!
Where is this one at ?
That was somewhere down near Ozark Arkansas during a Rendezvous in the Ozarks get together.
@drobs7279 awesome thank you
I'm going to throw in a long shot here... Try a different way to hold the foregrip. Avoid touching or pushing back on the mag. They tend to move forward and back a bit under normal operation. I'd be curious if it changes. Although I have heard about MKE mags.
I replaced it with a MKE AP5 & AP5-P. My dealer took the Zenith back and shipped it to Davidson's.
Hilarious, he said put it in four low instead of telling him you're on fire lol
That was just the Clutch burning up...
What happened?
Turn traction control off. Computer is intervening, and shutting down the rpm's
4 low in a Jeep turns off the traction / stability control.
Hey Dan, thanks for inviting me and my buddy from Texas to go with you all on the trails yesterday we had a lot of fun and was happy to meet everyone
Thanks for joining us! That Gladiator of yours on 40's did great. My neighbor Lonnie, who was riding with me, put together a video here: ua-cam.com/video/JoJKYJDnnGU/v-deo.html
@drobs7279 Great i will be checking that out today and thank you both of you
@drobs7279 that was a great video !!!
Painful to watch... Geezuzz..
Okay, now get a AP5-P and see if you have the same problem.
I got one. It works perfectly.
Mine doesn’t. FTF, nonaConcentric
Clutch went before the pride!
So why don't you use the MKE mags in the Zenith?
Man, I miss that place. I believe that guy's pride got in the way.
I'd say there ain't anything wrong with it, though I could be mistaken. Maybe clean out the star or pop off the cylinder for a deeper scrub.
You’re definitely mistaken
HK SP5…you get what ya pay for, just saying😉
Put it up against a PTR !
Seems like might be a mag issue, have you used the MKE mags in the K model? Break in?
I got it to run 50rds of Winchester 124gr Nato with 2 x $75 HK mags and a new extractor spring. Switching to MKE mags, it started jamming all over again.
Nice would love to ride with you all sometime
Thanks D Robs, seems that your ZF5-P is pretty new since you just posted this 3 months ago. I have an order in for their ZF-5 premium package that I'm cancelling since I haven't received a shipping email yet or a call from the gun dealer which I'm not going to pick it u p either. Cancelling it first thing tomorrow morning on Monday. I truly hope that you were able to return the ZF5-P. No one should have to go through this especially when It's supposed to be a CLONE which means should absolutely be the same as an HK AP-5, shoot like one without jamming stove piping or feeding issues. Also, all the parts should be interchangeable with the HK which most likely it isn't since it doesn't shoot like an HK. There must be some differences mechanically inside that doesn't work. Seem a few other recent postings on UA-cam with the same issues and have been return for warranty work that come back not working any better.
My FFL got it from Davidson's who has a policy to accept returns / issue refunds on non-functioning guns with a small restocking fee. The Zenith went back to Davidson's and I replaced it with a Century MKE AP5-P which runs flawlessly. z I will say avoid KCI mags. MKE and HK mags work great. KCI gen1 and gen2 mags = last round FTF's.
I’ve had the AP5 for about a year and it’s been 100%. I just bought Mac5k will be in a couple days. The Ap5s have gone up in price while I bought the Mac for $975. Time will tell but I’ve seen a lot of good reviews.
If you’re going to get an American maid MPfive clone the way to go is the PTR 9CT I haven’t had any issues with mine and shot 115 grain from the get-go and no issues ever then went to 124 grain steel case all shoots flawlessly
Sorry to break it to you but the ptr is not nearly as good as the ap5
Well, that’s OK. That might be your experience. I actually love my AP five and my PTR, but I’ve had many less problems with the PTR. When I first got the AP five, the factory had down the end of the ejector so it was not functioning well, and it had an old bent extractor spring in it so I changed both of those and then it ran like a top. I’ve never had a single issue with the PTR, I love the AP5 as well
@carlos8398 I understand. I wasn't trying to be rude or hateful. I was speaking on my personal experience. I was going to buy a ptr after handling the ptr it just didn't seem the same quality as my ap5.
Just do what I did get them both
I had one and it wasn’t worth the money. Mine use to jam a lot and fail to extract rounds. I clean my guns after every range visit hoped that would help but it didn’t. That’s the only gun I’ve ever had an issue with. The ptr9 was okay but definitely not good for long term. Sold it ended up getting a ap5 and a zenith zf5.
That's awesome I would have loved to go along and watch
That's awesome would have enjoyed going to eide along and watch

Why you turn comments off. As a fellow youtuber good or bad at least they talking. So annoying when comments are off. Your mp5 jamming is due to how your holding rifle. Hold it way tighter and I bet the problem goes away
I turned the comments off because of trolls. I actually plan to delete those videos. I returned the POS Zenith to my dealer who is getting a credit from Davidsons.
I turned them back on just now. I expect some nasty comments on my muzzle control and I will respond back in kind.
Zenith!!! ...very disappointed in you guys if you see this way too not get the K right or your abomination of the hk93 you just released 🙄😒😡
Full size just run better , but the shorty with the can is sexy if it works
It no work. I might trade it in on a real H&K SP5K PDW.
Did you go off my steep spot lol that looked deep
This was up north between GTT and Skyline. It would make for a good swimming hole.
What did it cost? Does he have a website or email for revolver work?
Is that with a griffin muzzle device?
It's a Griffin Gate Lok but I figured out my problem. Turns out you need to use Wilson Combat A2 Flash Hiders.
@@drobs7279 Did Wilson combat flash hiders fix your problem? I'm not paying 100$ a piece for Griffin A2 comps lol. I have been machining my own down to fit from midway. If Wilson fits it would sure help me out
@@barrygregg3476 A $10 Wilson Combat Flash Hider fixed my problem with the Griffin Gate Lok not fitting on my PSA AR15's. For 30 cal / 308 you need to buy the $100 Griffin Flash Hider / Muzzle Device to use the Gate-Lok.

Link for the outlaw kid?
I believe he moved to Alaska and I don't see him posting as much on The Highroad. Your best bet would be to join the BP Forum on: www.thehighroad.org Another BP smith that does the same work is: www.goonsgunworks.com/ Jackrabbit1957 is 3rd member on the Highroad that smiths C&B revolvers.
“Revolvers don’t jam!!!” No, they malfunction catastrophically in a way that a tap and rack won’t fix.
True. However, I have fired probably 200,000 rounds through S&W and Ruger revolvers and have never had one single misfire or mechanical failure. There are drawbacks as you mention, but contrary to what others may say, revolvers normally are generational reliable.
That’s exactly what happens when you short stroke.
Wrong - the fouling on the cylinder pin caused this issue. Cleaning the cylinder pin fixed it.
@@drobs7279 both issues cause this. Luckily the cleaning did the trick. I mean I have heard folk tales of a Ruger revolver somewhere that had an issue somehow, but honestly Ruger stands behind their stuff. They have better service, support, and warranty than some higher end companies. I will never hesitate to buy a Ruger revolver
What was the fix I am having the same issue
My fix was to sell the pickup to a friend - pass the buck. I think it's still doing it for him .
My friend wrapped the OD on off button on the shifter with a hair tie. I'd think a zip tie would do the same trick.
Mine does the same thing can't fine the problem
@@jesuse.p4138 Wrap the Overdrive on/off button with a zip tie, bailing wire, rubber band, or duct tape. My friend that I sold my Frontier to is currently using a hair tie to hold the button engaged.
Thanks I tried that, holding it down, and pressing it on+ off and still no luck @@drobs7279
I need to get back up there
Need more XJ's 😂😂
Nice man! Up the steps
Nice little water crossing, looks like it was an enjoyable stroll.
Lol - it's off a gravel road. I understand 2 out of the 500 some Jeeps turned around at the 1st water crossing. I can understand the Renegade owner being worried but not the Wrangler owner...
@drobs7279 I intentionally seek those out, lol! Long as it's no deeper than your tires there shouldn't be an issue.
@@MozarkAdventures I think everyone loves a good water crossing. This video is off of Keltner Road and Hwy T. Google "Keltner Road, MO."
