I have been fishing trout magnets under a 1/4oz weight (carolina rig) with a 3 foot leader for the finicky fish under bridges this time of year, you should give them a try, although there is clearly nothing wrong with what you are doing now haha!

I live here, the largest fish I have seen caught from this lake is a 98pd blue catfish. On the north side of the lake

@DalonCole. Lol, the Six Mile bridge IS in Texas. Actually, the bridge is 150 yds or so from my parents property. We tore em up pretty good this spring right off the neighbors floating dock. Never even got to crank the boat up the whole two weekends we came to fish for them. Nice vid bro, I didn't know about the beam under the water. Maybe we'll keep it in mind when the water gets bad. @NotYet8 ummm no not quite, crappie love the bridge.. Provides shade and the way the columns look under the water shelter.. The bridge really works during the summer!

I fish Cedar Creek here in SC. Crappie is tthe best there and they make great bait for big blues. Check out some of the blues we have on my page. over 57 P/Bs since May of 07
