HUMAN TEOREMA - Le Premier Soleil De Jan Calet LP (full album)
Human Teorema is a Parisian quartet formed in 2012. Built around a cyclopean bass-drums combination, their cosmic music oscillates between dreamy, contemplative progressive rock and wild, turbulent krautrock. It’s a journey to nowhere, an exhilarating sensation of infinite interior space, an improvised exploration of the seas of psychedelic ambient music that plunges listeners into a vast and delicate reverie. They released several EPs, played plenty of Parisian dates, held long-time residents at Mains d'Oeuvres, and even an appearance on TV Canal+'s Petit Journal during the last years.
The album traces the journey, explorations, and visions of Jan Calet, a professor of ancient civilizations in Rome in the early 90s, as he traverses through the ages and abysses until his renewal.
What you hear is a mix of styles, from dreamy cosmic soundscapes over some wonderful sentimental and mellotron fueled moments à la Friends of Dean Martinez to some intense stuff, some progrock, some dub, pretty hard to describe. Best you listen to it several times. It is becoming better and better with every listen! A real grower!

Amazing album, a long ride.
The compositions of this band are very very much of my taste. The 2000s and 2010s were just as fruitful years for the style of psychedelic blues rock that I love so much as the 60s and 70s themselves. To this day, I often see my longing for this music fulfilled by German bands. Of course, two years ago, I also saw English and Greek bands like the Screaming Flies and Arcadian Child. In 2024, I noticed a few Italian ones, and there were also 1 or 2 North American, South American and Australian ones for me last year of 2024

Mein absoluter top Favorit.. Erinnert mich an die ersten Electric Moon Alben. Gibt echt nur wenig was an die Aufnahmen hier ran kommt, einfach mega gut. richtig richtig gut. Nur etwas zu spät gesehen und schon sold out ^^ aber zur Not gibt's ja bei bandcamp die digitalen Dateien ;-)
