My name is Brandon im 45 and have been playing bass since I was 9. I know music theory pretty well, and I like to make up loops to practice over. Whenever I'm learning a chord or a progression I like to putnl it into a loop and be creative. It's the best practice you can have, in my opinion.. And it's something I've done for years. And as I loop the ideas, over time I form them into compositions. Where I have concrete parts, but generally improvise a solo. And I think alot of my stuff is cool....weird and trippy. Sometimes not so good lol. But alot of times when I go live, I play at least one jam that is totally made up on the spot. And sometimes I'll do that the whole time. It depends on how I feel. But I think anyone who plays bass will dig what I'm doing. And it's good to watch someone who's using the music theory in context. Any questions , feel free to ask.
