In Canton, they eat snakes and many other animals same as they eat chicken. So snakes in a cage is something usual on the markets even today. His movies are veeery good , most of them are different to grasp fpr outsiders because the jokes and the stories are very heavily influenced by the Cantonese culture. It is hilarious.

Death is literally the best character in this film. They did him perfectly and his delivery of dialogue is insanely good. He is the furthest thing from a villain, he literally helps Puss in becoming someone who values the last life he has, along with those who he comes to realize are his family and friends. He came for the person who didn't appreciate anything in his life but his ego, and once he realized he came to value everything he had, he respected that and let him be.

Regarding that woman screaming at the beginning of the scene... I kept expecting one of these reviewers to say what I was thinking: "We all know a woman who's that loud, don't we?" lol And it's true! Some women can just YELL like there's a microphone stuck in their vocal cords!!

Tall a out slap stick comedy, quite literally slapped a stick on her face. Although, I dont think everyone gets why the he pulled it out and stick it back in. He wasnt being careless or clumsy hes like a kid. He was trying to hell because the knife hurts so he took it out, but the guy said dont so he figured he listens and put things back the wah they are so he doesnt mess it up. I remember laughing so hurt my stomach hurt.
