A walk around the yard showing what's new and future projects. Thanks for watching! (Part of this video is cut off at the beginning, was having camera troubles. The tractor shown at the beginning is a 1969 John Deere 110 with either a 8 hp kohler of 8 hp Tecumseh. This is the more rare side tag model. At the very beginning I was explaining that the spark plug hole is stripped and will need to b...

I have that identical motor I worked on today. Looks like the cylinder has some rust tanning.
Turn on some lights
Crazy idea. But maybe put blade on 216 with weights and chains.... just an idea...
I have 1200 hrs on my LT160 original transmission, soon as I watch a few videos I'm going to drain and fill it.
Still using my 1997 Yard Machines to cut my 2 acres every fortnight, it has done this since the day I bought it, almost 26 years ago. It has never been into the shop and has never had an oil change! The deck had large rust holes that I patched up last year, welded on some steel strips from an old light fixture....the battery has been replaced about 6 times, but that is to be expected (Batteries don't last in Florida)....the drive belt got replaced about 5 years ago....cost me $20 on ebay! The carb was replaced 10 years ago, that was my fault....left the woke new fuel in it over the winter and replacing the carb for $16 was easier than cleaning it! Not sure how many more years I can get out of this baby, it still runs good, but is literally rusting to bits! Might have to replace it at 30 years! Trouble is, the replacement options are all junk! The Murray is about the only one I like!
Highly recommend changing oil. This is an oft neglected on lawn equipment. Not being sarcastic, but if you follow that kind of neglect on your vehicle engine, you'll be making a visit to your mechanic with serious engine damage.
Why is it so hard to find information on UA-cam to fix a tractor???????????
I was yelling “choke it” the first 5 minutes of this video!
Hey that MTD is worth millions of dollars if you still have it
These lawnmowers are beasts. They can cut thick grasses without problems
I'm in the process of doing this with my 86 Polaris Indy 400LC. This has been very helpful.
For around 20 bucks you can buy a new carb, gasket, hoses, fuel and air filter, purge valve and spark plug.
I have one to at my house go Check out mr fantastic
Not 1800’s.
I got an MTD Millenium wiht the 15.5 hp engine in 2008 and ran it till 2018.
Interesting, I had the same problem on my mower deck on the LT160. Bought a used deck and set the old one aside to rebuild.
You deserved a Honda, not a fbody.
Wish we had the amount of tractors around up north cuz there’s hardly much down south. Or when there is they’re either beat to crap or the owner wants big $.
Can you add the Sears catalog you used? I have the same motor and having trouble finding parts
thing is mint buddy. got the exact same one except 2002. if your window regulators haven't been replaced already, you will be doing them fairly soon lol
I work on 2-stroke engines every day! So this information is well worth listening to! The first thing you absolutely have to do to a 2-stroke carburetor is to stop the chain, spool, or Blades or whatever your equipment is to stop turning! You have to get the throttle Blades to close almost entirely so there is a transition between idle and off idle, And that goes for any carburetor no matter what it is on! If you look inside of the bore of the carburetor on the throttle side and the side the Low and High adjustment screws are on, You will see two small holes, One on each side of the throttle plate. The one nearest to the engine will be the low or direct vacuum signal port and the one on the back side of the throttle plate is the High or metered vacuum signal port and only works when you crack the throttle open all the way to wide open throttle!😉
Good one mate , thanks for the gee-up .
This told me jack dooky!
Indoors and impressive
Nice to see you back! Nice truck!
If you put a 40” 1/2 belt on the front between the variator, & the engine you can get it to go 10mph fairly easily. I found that out after I dsl swapped my 212, needed a longer belt, so all I could get my hands on was a 41” 1/2 v-belt. I gained some speed but lost some 4th gear torque cuz the belt will slip some, & sometimes u need to push in the clutch a tad or switch gears. In theory if u did that on both sides u could get it to go faster, but haven’t tried that yet. 10mph is already plenty for a tractor that almost flips if u take corners too sharp.
Love it ! For sale ?
A waste of 1:16 minutes !!!!!!
I’d give you that time back if I could buddy
Nice, I have a 1965, love it. Just got it running and deck rebuilt
Since John Deere can't paint/powdercoat metal, make the shell out of fiberglass.
Not sure how much snow you guys get, but if you often get snowfalls like that, that's not the right tractor/transaxle for regularly pushing heavy thick snow. You'd need a garden tractor not a lawn tractor- like a 500 series or better for heavy work. A snowblower coupled with that K46C would be fine - but not frequently pushing deep heavy snow with the blade in a longish driveway, especially with chains and what looks to be significant weight on the back.
Have an 04 lt160 that i restored. Very nice mower
Cub Cadet 1330 was made 1992-1993. I know since I own one.
Bolts to the sides of the muffler?
Confused is it to plow a couple of inches of snow?
Yeah prolly like 4 or 5 inches would be max with this setup
I wish you great luck in fixing this motor, if you havent put it for free in side of road yet like you said! Thanks!
I have the same.motor got it last year for a kayak for fun. Uh, it doesnt idle well and it bogs down rabdomly and quite a disappointment. I want to dig in one of these days, clean those exhaust ports, maybe an exhaust hose and maybe check inpeller then carb. I'd love a helping hand! Maybe I post a video if it running then.dying.and maybe someone knowledgable can save my life!
Clean the carb.
Clean carb and set your air mixture screws on the front of the motor
The chart indicates top speed is only 7mph but I swear mine is a lot fast than 7. I can feel wind when I'm hauling down the driveway.
If the floor of a boat is thing, you will love this video
Awesome machine! Absolutely beautiful.
That is a 73 evenrude
You the the Man Great Help Thanks
Sounds like shit
What state?
