Awesome cassettes Edd!! So many to mention! Nice to see you getting some for real cheap! Good mix of classics, obscure and newer stuff! That Leatherwolf I need to relisten to, can’t remember how much I liked it. Cool the Sab, Hendrix and Priest boots all sounded good! The Aerosmith one looks interesting, 1971 you said? The Fossil Fuels homemade tape has my curiosity peaked! Haha! I think the future rarity collectibles are gonna be those lost homemade indie cassette and CD only bands. God knows what unknown gems are out there!!! Most of the vinyl bands are accounted for and documented somewhere but the homemade cassettes are another story! Enjoyed the video!! Cheers!!
Yes my Man Homemade tapes can be real hidden gems. So many are already lost to time.

Hello-A friend found this on You Tube and sent it to me. It's been 40 years since I wrote recorded and performed that song. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. As much as I loved being a part of that scene, I am glad that my life took a turn away from it. Many of the people that I knew and associated with at the time are either dead or broke and I am neither. Since the demise of the band in 1985 I have never seen the singer or bass player since. We just had nothing in common. I am very close with the drummer and I will make sure to send him this clip.@@sadwingsofvinyldestinyeddjones
Did your band ever release more than this single? A demo?
@@B_Z_B2000 There were probably 3 or 4 demo sessions here we recorded about 4 songs each time. I believe that I am the only one that has these. There are also 3 or 4 shows at The Troubadour and the Country Club and maybe the Whisky that were shot/filmed using old early 80's technology. I have never posted anything on you tube. I might over the next few years as I will probably be looking for retirement projects. First I would have to have them digitized. After the demise of the band I played guitar on a lot of commercial recordings and a lot of TV shows but gave it up in the mid 90's. Thank you for asking. Hope this finds you well. Peter

I notice the Oak poster from Maine '81.. until recently I had a 1975 Port City Music Festival poster (featuring Oak and Ina May Wool Band). Sold it to Ina herself- she's still kickin!
Excellent! Not many of those old posters survived. Use to have a collection from around Portland in the 80s Somehow, they are gone.
Thats a cool comp. Bought it in Holland in the 90s for dirty cheap because you know that most of the people didnt care about vinyl back then.

Starting to upload some self released or obscure cassettes I have. Don`t know anything about this band. Hopefully someone in the band will find and enjoy.
These guys were and still are friends of mine; absolutely seminal musical experiences hanging / jamming / 'expanding my mind' with this crew. We were a bunch of young metal heads evolving into psych rock weirdos; this is what they came up with while immersed in that process. Lineup was: Chris Daisy - Guitar & Vocals Tim Daisy - Drums Dave Duff - Guitar Derek Ramey - Bass Not long after this demo they lost Dave on 2nd guitar, and added Steve Brown on keyboards & vocals. At that time they briefly re-named themselves 'Smoke Bath', then again to 'Frozen Orange', which they kept until breaking up in the late 90's / early 2000's. Amazing band, especially considering they were ages 16-20 at the time of this recording. For the record, they were from the Chicago area (Winthrop Harbor, specifically) - not Maine. And yeah this was recorded by Chris in the DFD psychedelic hideout / jam space in their parent's basement. Incidentally, Tim developed into an accomplished and prolific jazz & improv drummer, and is still very active in that scene.

That is the only version I have, Maybe the record company sped up for that comp? Quite often what is on comps, was different than the album versions. I`d be curious to hear another version

Doug Simpson was my neighbor. Made kick as tunes and kick ass donuts! Haha. Played drums during the day in his garage and made donuts at night at the top of our street. Always loved to hear him rock'n.

Some very cool stuff there Edd. Crazy how you found the Australian import of I Butterfly's 'Ball' at a flea market in Maine. Just goes to show that if you are digging at the right place and at the right time you can find the gems. Way to go Edd~

Best You Tube video ever lol. Love it. So many great tapes you showed. Really an amazing collection.. On vinyl its not hard to see most of them on the VC or somewhere else but on tape versions those are pure gold.

Def Leppard " high and dry" we saw them as back up for Ozzy when they were unknown. They come from Ozzy's hometown. Won't the giant magnet in the speaker damage the magnetic tape?
