Great video as always, Martyn! Quick question if you don't mind. I recently bought some of your stalking bugs however when it comes to casting them, it's very tricky as they almost seem too heavy and just fly all over the place. I use a 6lb leader - just wondered if I'm doing something wrong?

Nicely done Martyn, the difference in conditions, just a few days apart… I had a covering of leaves and slime to deal with, but still had 3 great fish… Avington is truly an awesome venue.

Sorry but that's not proper fly fishing, pretty embarrassing tbh. Poor presentation you didn't even cast a weighted sparkly thing, belongs on a xmas tree.Go to a proper fishery to test yourself not a hole in the ground stocked with fish that would chase anything. 210sterling for a 3 fish ticket behave.

This fly is amazing, I tied it and tried it I've had nothing but success with this fly, it never fails for me anyway, I've had several rainbows over 10lb and my biggest brown trout 15.5lb on this fly, so thanks😁.Colin 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Excellent Martyn. I had to cancel my September booking. But I’m there again in October. Can’t wait. Testwood is my favourite venue to fish. I know it’s pricey, but everything you catch is over 10lb, and it’s nice to get a PB. Not only that, but you get to fish the Test as well……..Yes, the Test on a C&R, but where else can we (the great unwashed) get to catch Grayling and wild trout. Not only that but Nigel is a great character.

My favorite thing about this fishery is being able to fish the river too...Nice Browns and Grayling in there...The Grayling love some of your tiny flies Martyn.

Now thats a fishery can anyone recommend any in Scotland bait and fly apart from new mills lanark spend about 500 in permits and tackle and caught 3 catch and release and ave fished foe 15 years thanks

The fish not fighting does tend to be more of a summer thing …. Usually they fight like Mike Tyson on roids. I feel Avington is on its way to making a comeback after the loss of Dever
