so after getting a 5:50.78 (wr was 5:50.77) we got this the next run! Hilariously, we were talking about whether or not i should save the splits, but turned out, it wouldn't matter! lol. Pretty silly topics were covered during this run, don't take it too seriously lmao. but yeah, sub 5:50 achieved and basically reached my goal of a mid/low 5:4x. I guess the next thing to do is go for 5:3x. Hope...

Just a little update, I got a 5:52 the other day, was -6 seconds going into master hand, but we got annihilated by him :,). Will keep trying to improve before uploading. (It’s nothing special compared to this pb, besides maybe the polygon team)
Nice run. Idk much about this one, but that Samus kill in particular looked super clean.
Ty! The samus fight was actually pretty good. It’s inconsistent a lot of the time because samus’ movements are all rng nd she can troll a lot. So I take that fight all day lol

The frame perfect WR to Console Crash combo. Works every time. So, now that sub 6:XX is possible for Fox, I guess it’s only a matter of time before you start going for the sub 5:5X.
Why is their two gigantos?
Doing the glitch I show in the video makes it so that you enter the area before it’s loaded (one giganto is there just as a visual the other is the real one.) The other one is just chilling in the background lol

thanks grindgar! i wasn't too happy with a lot of it, like fox for example. but then there was some good parts like the DK run that could've been a 5:4x. All characters is crazy lol. But also very unexplored
That 24 hour stream really was something. XD First the stream crashes, then you get WR in All Characters Very Easy… and everything after that was just a rollercoaster. Congrats on the WR and I hope you do more of these - they’re very fun. :)

Thanks! I was really nervous during that run for some reason lol! There are two current sub 8 runs that exist/have existed at one point so far from the top, but still a good improvement. Especially after 6 years lmao
Haven’t played much of Smash 64, but now I know that DK is the speed runner master in this game, thanks!! Also, what is that random music in the background?
Yeah DK is very good and easy to use for the speedrun! His strategies are consistent and work well for a run that has 3 classic mode runs. Although there are some faster characters like falcon, but are not as consistent. I don’t know the specific name of the songs, but The music in the background is from the lofi 24/7 channel!

Congrats on the sub 7:2X for Link N3S and the Pikachu VE5S personal bests! Also, I figured I should let you know that I PB’d in VE5S with Kirby again and got a time with Captain Falcon in the same category, both in the 10:1X range.
thanks! the link wr prior was 7:13 so it was cool to improve that, and i didn't get a pikachu pb but did have a pretty good pace for just 2 random attempts at it lol. hopefully i can improve it further. yo i saw that! congrats! when I have some time i'll look at the runs! :) keep up the great work!
