Mechabellum Ladder EP22: Let me just pass through!
I think my self critics this game are: 1. Not taking the big saber and attacking the left tower with it to destroy the sledge deployment there. 2. If I did take the badgers again, in round 5 I should have slid my shallow flanked wasps to the top right and used mobile beacon to snipe the tower. Was a really fun game to play! any game with hackers is a blast.
my two favourite mechabellum casters in one game - thx and well played ;)
Valiant effort
Tarantulas are so ez to hack and put 2 hackers with no upgrades cost nothing. No chance to grow at high ELO
They definitely have some pretty strong counters! Hackers are especially good versus the spider mines.
Mathismight is a legit player, congrats on the win and the entry to 1900!
A knock-out punch tutorial would be awesome!
It will be out eventually when I get a few more solid examples to discuss! I guess I could potential "mock them up" in the sandbox mode too. So far all my examples have been from real games which has been a slow process.
Congrats on the 1900, man
Here, here.
Another well played match :)
:)
With a thumb like that, how could I not.
Yes
Can't wait for the 250th sub annoncement which will also be your wife
😂
lol
Really close game, really good by both players 1 thing (sorry if this is backseat gaming) i would recommend not selling the farseers next time and just get the photon upgrade for them to spread it to all your units
Farseers seem to solve a lot of problems, I'm surprised I don't see folks lean into them more.
Congrats on the subscribers!
Thanks!
🎉🎉🎉
So carry tarantulas get range instead of mines? I see most people get mines.
You could call mines that too I guess but this build focuses on high DPS tarantulas as the main damage dealer in the army using there main auto attack. That's why I called it carry tarantulas.
Good stuff! Keep 'em coming!
Love the assault augmentation, it has to be one of the funnest and also deadliest ones I’ve had when fully upgraded. I always go with Elite Marksmen for the obvious of it boosting everything a bit and especially damage, but I like going for the one that adds extra range and the quick firing option as well, then they kind of turn into snipers again and have an aoe effect. Maybe swapping the range for the double firing option would be better and I lean more into assault
Assault mode is a blast but easily countered with EMP as you can see for several rounds in this game. Be careful dumping to many resources into techs when the enemy has EMP! The did do a lot of work once I had more protection for them though :)
Wraith play in the final round was brilliant. I've never seen anything like it 😅. Thx for the replay!
Getting the most out of units with mobile beacons is probably my favorite part of this game!
Sound is only left
My freaking ear!
ur audio is only coming out of one of my headphones may want to check that.
I think I know what happened so it should be fixed up on the next video!
Losing streaks might mean that you have reached your current peak. MMR promises that at your true level you will lose approximately 50% of the games. Thought it does not mean that with experience you cannot get higher, but artificially playing boring strats just to boost MMR is not worth it IMHO.
I think I'm still learning a lot so I hope I can keep climbing. RAT's mobile beacon video was pretty eye opening on the skill gap between me and 2000 MMR guys! Mastering mobile beacon is definitely something an aggro player like myself needs to do.
I came from your tarantula carry video. I think this was a more interesting game, but as a content creator your production quality was lower: only one mic channel, worse volume levels, not discussing what could have been done better by both sides to help viewers learn, etc. But definitely worth the subscribing. Thanks for doing good work!
I've located the issue with the left-only mic. As far as the discussion goes this video is a live replay and the carry tarantula was a replay review where I don't have to focus on the actual playing part. I usually flag the video type in the thumbnails unless I go over the top with a goofy thumbnail that needs more room! Thanks for the sub!
Hi! I just discovered your channel. This was a helpful and fun video. Agree with the thumbs up for your volume levels and mic quality -- except that your closing music is too loud (although admittedly catchy). I do like the dual-sided commentary. It helps newbies like me who don't want a "brand new player" guide about basic game mechanics but are still learning how counters work, mobile beacons should be used, where to place chaff, etc.
Glad you liked this one! I'm constantly learning and trying to improve my video quality. Ill do my best to remember to balance the volume levels between different video cuts!
Wilbur, does the advance shield device apply to barrier tech on units? I’ve always wondered, but I wasn’t sure. This game made it seem like it does apply. Thanks!
hmmm I dug up and old reddit post that says it doesn't so it looks like I'm the fool here! I think ill test it out in the playground tool to confirm next time I hop on.
thanks for doing the research that I am too lazy to do myself.
its only applied to the device, cheers buddy, i just started mechabellum content as well 2-3 days ago ^^, good luck wilbur in your youtube!
@@Zaamos Thanks and good luck to you as well! Video editing is a frustratingly rewarding experience!
your audio is only coming from the left channel
aaaahhhh! the last two videos appear to have the same issue :( I think I found it though!
Your videos are good, you could easily have more views.
Thanks for the positive words! I'm hoping to keep growing, but if this only ends up being a creative outlet for me I'm OK with that too :)
FYI right when you upload only a terrible quality version of the video is available. I think maybe if you upload and then schedule it to premier in a few hours it'll have time to process the higher quality versions? Regarding the game I was a little confused by the decision to put the wraith up front and then haste it - wraith is pretty fragile so I'd expect it to get murdered if you send it out in front of everything else?
Thank you for the pro tip! Wraiths are decently tanky! but I was using the wraith as a bandaid to try to cheese a round or two of wins, it was never going to be a win condition.
It's great to see two positive forces in the community. Keep up the good work.
I dont know why i didnt get your video recommended sooner. Perfect! Exactly what i had in mind.
Carry tarantulas have been popping up in higher MMR games too! so definitely a viable strategy given a favorable starting unit match up!
@@WilburMecha i love tarantulas man they feel like a great all rounder - i just cant figure out how to position different chaff around them and at what time
@@WolfmenLP I like mixing in some flanking crawlers/fans to help pull some early damage away from the tarantulas. As always a mix of late and early chaff is a must!
@@WilburMecha oh yea, will try to do that more for sure. Thanks man
Sorry for the low energy in this video I was pretty tired! Probably shouldn't game/video edit past 11pm!
🤣that's exactly what I said! GGs. Well played.
@@WhoopedGG trying to pretend like I'm still in college some nights, kills me every time!
GG but can't help it to always feel a bit sad to see assault marksman lose, love those guys. Also much better on the audio levels!
I love them too. I hope some day they can find there place in the game. Right now I think there are just to many efficient ways to deal with them. I usually save my Ass-man games for 2v2 now haha
Thanks for the comment on the audio! Video making has definitely been a learning experience! I have a ton more respect for video editing and UA-cam professionals.
Never seen shields like that on worms. Nice game!
It's definitely something to think about next time I'm playing aggro and the barrier card shows up!
great and fun game :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel bad for that second guy -- he tried to exploit your lack of anti-air the same round you fixed it with mustangs. Probably you saw that possibility in game; down in wood league where I play, that would've been blind luck, lol.
I grabbed the mustangs because I needed something to protect the storms after my frontline died as well as pick off any remaining fangs. It was definitely not my intention to counter a surprise set of overlords!
Solid game. Nice Worm defense.
Thanks for checking it out! Definitely felt bailed out by the unit drops this game though!
Fort+fang and vulcan+marksman are the current meta trends. Honestly i’d rather deal with fort fang than that ungodly vulcan prior to last patch
Vulcan were pretty spooky! Now I think mustangs are the new OP.
Hey, you run the same tech on wraith as me. I also concluded that the range is not really needed because they're mostly used on defense or near the line.
Again great video, much more reactive gameplay and thought process! +1 champ ^.^
Nice video, was looking for more Mechabellum content! I personally have problems playing aggro as well so I can't really laugh. May I suggest you turn down the in game music a bit
Ill see if I can tweak it a bit for the next one!
Great video, very informational. But choosing a game to commentate which is a complete stomp results in a quite one sided experience. But love the dual sided commentary
I think it might be a symptom of my playstyle. Lately I've been winning most games when I play aggro where I don't lose momentum. I'll see if I can find a more back-and-forth game for a future replay review video.
Great mic quality here. Glad you’re back to making content!
I think I have finally figure out most of the audio issues! Video making has definitely been an iterative process and I have mega respect for veterans of making videos! Thanks for bearing with me through those rougher early videos haha
E essa thumbnail? Lá ele kkkkkkkkkkkkk.
Id like to see a strategy breakdown type of video. An explanation why you did this and that and an analysis of what the oponent could've done differently to presumably win. A series of this kind would be really popular i feel.
I have a replay review planned for the next video. I'll try to keep your comment in mind while I narrate it.
@@WilburMecha awesome, thank you!
Just a heads up: The audio is desynced.
I see that now! not to bad though. Probably happened when I cut out the audio problem in the intro!
Whoa, excellent game vs a 2k player! Photon's inevitable if you're doing EM and degen (degen alone sometimes triggers photon for me). Good game! The game music is a bit loud. It should be around 30% of your voice volume. Otherwise good stuff.
Took a pass at my audio/recording setting up and I think I've made a marked improvement. Let me know what you think!
See you when you come back! Thanks for the content
i have been enjoying your commentary. if possible, please do try to improve your sound quality.
Thanks for watching! I'm going to do a deep dive on audio quality when my vacation is over. I have a good mic now so it has to be either my recording software or some settings that are not doing me any favors! hopefully I'll find a solution :)
@@WilburMechaIt sounds fine to me, I’ve never noticed a problem.
Although you didn't emerge victorious, you put up an incredible fight against a top-top-tier player! Your defensive gameplay is impressive, and I have no doubt that you'll reach a 2,000+ MMR in the near future. Keep up the fantastic work and dedication.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
