The zebra plant may have wilted and stopped growing from the thrips. My plants did the same thing and it took months to finally see the thrips. Once the thrips were all gone the plants all bounced back. I was getting frustrated too because I couldn't figure out their issue. The zebra plant could be fussy, or it could have been the thrips causing all those issues. Who knows?

The only places I see Croton grow well, especily that one, are outside in very hot places. They grow in Florida like crazy in people's yards. In the summer in my state it gets just as hot and they do well outside (and inside if you leave your windows open all yhe time) but as soon as the weather cools they die. Mine died over winter and it was not very cold inside. It just hated that it wasn't hot anymore and it didn't like the dry air. Other than a heat lamp I don't think any of us who live in places where it gets cool can keep them well over winter. :/

For the croton plant I will advise you to check. If it's not root bound and just leave it outside in the sun and just pretend that U forget about it maybe it will start growing

I agree with you about all those plants except the Birkin. I love mine. But I don't ever want another cebu blue pothos or neon pothos. They seem to start dying the minute they come in the door. And the aglaonema golden Madonna. I thought it was such an ugly plant...and I love aglaonemas. I guess there is just always that plant that drives you crazy. 😅

When I get to this stage with a plant, I put it outdoors where it has a nice view of the compost bin, where it will end up if it doesn't start to look better. 😬

I really want a cebu blue gorgeous my favourite in my collection at the moment is my Hoya Matilda so easy and first Hoya I have that bloomed

The nanouk bit the dust at this end, too. Riddled with thrips! Others that have been given the boot are P. pink princess (hated the growth pattern), P. silver sword (spider mite city) and a variegated African violet (root mealy bugs - I had no idea they could get those!) How about a video on plants that have surprised you? I accidentally bought a tiny cordyline a few months ago, mistaking it for a dracaena. It's been growing like mad, and I love the bright yellow speckling on the long, slender leaves.

Top never buy again plant is String of Pearls. While I LOVE the look of this plant, I attempted it 3 times. Never again. And the Nanook is also on my list.

😂😂 honestly it's so refreshing seeing and hearing this side of the hobby...I feel bad for your Croton but I couldn't stop laughing 😅 I've decided I'm never buying bromelias ever again because they're pretty with the bloom when you buy them but when the bloom dies off I can never get them to bloom again 😑
