This wasn't my first ever time through Infernum- rather it was my 2nd. I just didn't bother uploading the original run through, as I didn't record anything before DoG. However, my first ever actual kill of DoG (same gear/wpn/acc iirc to both these kills) was exactly attempt #370. Guess a wall hits hard when Infernum is the first proper calamity playthrough you do

@@NoxAevitas as a melee/summoner/mage main who's fastest time to kill infernum sepulcher was in 2 seconds with triactis hammer, "eradicate sepulcher" was definitely an easy task.

They're all highly viable. If anything mage might be one of the worst choices. High dps but squishy compared to melee or something Just play whatever you find you enjoy most, swap if you need to :3

​​​​​​@@vrtxwendigo I played melle and summoner in infernum and saw my friend playing mage and all i can tell you is that mage deals 3 times less damage + the attacks are harder to hit. If you are starting then use alchemist npc potions becasue they are op like 1 dodge every 30 seconds or just over 20 deff for doing nothing + if you use( i think it was luifk of fargos mutant mod) the potions will be active permanently after you get 30 of said potion and also the potion limit will increase from 22 to like 40 wich is also op. In short you cant die if you are melle with these potions or as diffrent class you will need take like 10 more hits to die and im not even include regeneration or speed+flying speed. Im now doing runs(summoner and now mage) with only vanilla potions without luifk or fargos mutant mod and I dont think you would want to die from everything in matter of seconds.

Honestly, these fights are more stressful than Infernum just because of how mean the enviroment is! Congratulations as well, glad to know it actually was useful! I will continue to post my own PoVs and such, though I will definitely not become a "youtuber" past filling the internet with more random data! Ahaha! (Not limited to Terraria either, lol)

My arena is mostly underground, with enough space to maneuver around, and for the circling issue I just used Featherfall

My goal beating SCaL in this playthrough was to do it 'weak'- as in, my first ever playthrough of Infernum I beat Exo Mechs first and used post-exo gear for SCaL. I wanted to do it this time with strictly post-Yharon gear. I know I say that when I abuse the Yharon tornado weapon "The Wand", but I hate seplucher with a passion

Correct! Right when Devourer exits that portal, triggering phase 2, a huge knockback that throws a *lot* of momentum on you happens. It's there so you don't get eaten the second he dashes towards you once he leaves the portal. In short, game yeets you so you don't get eaten too fast. Thanks for the compliment too!

It is! So far it's not as hard as infernum, but it's just as fun. I'm enjoying collecting literally everything too. Thank the Gods I haven't killed (yet) for Magic Storage & Recipe Browser. Afaik, this mod becomes a lot harder than Infernum post-ML though, which is... scary.

What makes it so bad with a Yoyo? I don't think I've ever touched Yoyo's as an actual weapon, ever

@@NoxAevitas imagine only dping 7k dmg a second with full dmg accessories, you die in 2 hits at best, the yoyo only has a limited range. Combine all of that andthe fight takes 10 MINUTES make 1 mistake and you repeat it.

I've done longer fights like that. But, why? Why would you do this to yourself? Jokes aside (^ not a joke) - Yikes. I thought calamity was better with Yoyo's than... whatever that is

Actually, it's a 34" monitor. Big, yes, but relatively small considering how ridiculous they can get. I'm also using the "Better Zoom" mod, which lets me zoom out more. Terraria is a tad weird with Ultrawide so it's almost needed for me imo. I'm not kidding, I got stuck on DoG in expert mode Calamity. As in, not revengeance. I quit and sometime later saw Infernum got hooked on it and decided to play it. Yes... DoG my first time took exactly 370 attempts; but hey, I still did it. This is to say, if you're wanting to go into Infernum, just do it! Even if you have a bad time, as long as you ultimately enjoy it, well, you'll either wanna keep at it when you beat a boss, or you won't. No harm in just going after it. I put my active mod list in the description of these videos. Highly recommend, well, all the QoL / music ones. Particually "Instant Platform Fallthrough" so you don't need to hammer every single platform you place to fall without a short pause. Sorry for the essay o-O

@@NoxAevitas i do not think i could do infernum it took me 97 attempts just to beat king slime as a ranger in calamity master death so if thats a step up im screwed

looks like the expert mod. the boss health is low compared to the 10m HP death mode + vengeance mod i play

In my opinion, this fight even in Death Mode (which is what I recorded) is not infernum-level difficulty, nor is the other boss this addon adds (Noxus.) - However, it is definitely worth downloading this mod & Hunt of the Old God (for Goozma) and doing them! Hunt of the Old God makes you kill Goozma before you can craft Shadowspec bars (extra ingredient) and Noxus & Nameless Deity are both Shadowspec-tier bosses. | Also, I'd say Fargo's Eternity is harder from what I've seen, but for a different reason than Infernum. I just last night began a Fargo's Eternity run (for the first time ever) so... we will see how that goes! Edit: Eternity was really easy in comparison to infernum...

Calamity Mod Addon - Wrath of the Gods, it adds two bosses which are post-Supreme Calamitas & Exo Mechs. And agreed! This fight is absolutely amazing!

Infernum did a really good job making mechanics that line up with music. Infernum Providence is actually literally coded for music sync, for the lasers, if I remember correctly

Hero's Mod / Cheat Sheet tools, iirc it's about 1000 long and 500 deep. Copy paste, pretty much *edit, it's not neccessary, but it's a lot easier than constantly micro-managing how far you move due to lack of arena space. Infernum for the general players tends to assume you got a half decent arena for most of the game, then at DoG / Exo Mechs you sort of get forced into insane sizes

Was about to edit my comment again to add that I forgot to put the world download / credit for arena in description. It's there now, highly suggest to grab it. Definitely also suggest you use Hero's mod to reveal whole map and copy paste arena with a temp character, that way you can be certain you're not accidentally deleting something important when you paste the arena(s).

some dashes give u immunity frames (like the asgards valor or the plaguebringer dash)

I used Elysian aegis Drops from Providence At asgards Valor forwards shield dashes let you dash through enemies with immunity frames
