Designed for one purpose and one purpose only the Funkhaus Berlin is known all over the world for it’s outstanding sound quality. Built in 1951 as a centralised organ for the „Voice of GDR“, it was used for entire public radio and television recordings for nearly 40 years. Even though the Funkhaus was built more than 65 years ago, this second to none amazing building hasn't lost any appeal to international musicians and creatives. Since it’s relaunch in 2016, the Funkhaus has become a melting pot for very special magical moments that we would like to share with you on this channel.

Max Cooper has carved out a unique position for himself as an artist interested in curating multi-sensory experiences, across emotional dance floor experimentation, fine art sound design and visual artefacts created to understand and process the insights of science. Max Cooper’s second proper full-length, EMERGENCE represents a new high water mark in the London producer’s already impressive career. An emotive document merging club-ready techno and shimmering electronic ambiance, EMERGENCE takes cues from the natural world around us to forge its own universe-a kinetic environment in which every little thread is easily felt.

Unfortunately the only disappointing concert for me at Funkhaus. Not because of the music itself but of the loudness in this room which was overdone for my taste, almost unbearable.
