Nice idea. What happensin high windy storms? Put adhesive on bottoms?
During high winds, absolutely nothing happens. The air conditioner remains stable due to its weight and the rubber mounts. There’s no need to glue or bolt it to the roof, as its design and installation method ensure reliability.

No oil on the flares? No torque measurement of the flare tightness? And no stabilisation of the brass fitting with a wrench while tightening the flares? There are things you can do which reduce the likelihood of a flare leak.
thank you for your attention and advice)))
Drain fitting. It is designed to remove condensate from the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. A drain hose is connected to it, through which moisture is discharged outside or into a drainage system.

in this case, I didn't give a single loop!
Bit more of a shoulder on those brazed joints. Plenty of penetration into the joints though.

the insulation was securely and neatly taped!
Buen trabajo 👍

The only thing I’d do differently is use a second spanner to brace the valve bodies when tightening the flare nuts, especially the gas service valve. Other than that…….👌
@@dns1701 Thank you for the advice! Yes, that’s definitely a useful approach to prevent the valve bodies from spinning while tightening the flare nuts. I’ll keep that in mind for the future. Thanks for the comment!

That insulation eats at the copper
no, in no case does the insulation eat copper, it performs the function of reducing heat loss, preventing condensation, and saving energy! , tube protection, noise reduction
@KlimatCoolUa do ya research brother that's all I can say on that specific insulation. Not just insulation in general that specific one. Eats at that copper when sunlight hits it. Show
Thanks for the comment! This is not a show, but a real working process where I demonstrate all the stages of installing an air conditioner. I understand that it's hard to show every detail in a short video, but I try to share real tips and experience.
I would have used a torque wrench, digital is best, yellow jacket make a good one. I would also use some nylog blue on the flares and the thread....
Thank you for your comment! Regarding Nylog Blue, if the pipe is perfectly prepared and the flaring is done correctly, additional sealants are usually unnecessary. As for the torque wrench, after years of practice, I’ve developed a good feel for the required force to avoid over-tightening the nut. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
just install some all year long for years. no need for a torque wrench, use your muscle memory, and common sense.

two air conditioners? Do you mean haier companies ?
@ Haier 2 port multi with black indoor units (called Flexis Plus in the UK) but they don’t display temperature. I have had problems with 3 port haier units and I will never install them again
@@crowderglen what problems were there with the three port multi split???
@ the indoor units read 4 degrees lower than actual room temperature. For example if the room is 20C the indoor unit reads 16C and then it will stop cooling because it thinks the room is 16C. No support from Haier UK. I will modify the temperature sensors to fool the indoor unit to think it’s 4C warmer.

@@geraldgege377 Hello, thank you for your comment. In this particular case, it was not possible to transport the air conditioner in any position other than lying down, as it had to be passed through a window for installation on the roof. However, we took all necessary precautions to avoid any damage, including allowing the compressor to stabilize after transportation before turning the unit on. This ensures proper operation and durability of the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Thank you for your understanding.
