I’ve suffered with having high self confidence for years, and it’s only when I’ve started trying to improve other parts of my life that I found I got my self confidence. It’s not easy and it doesn’t happen quick, it’s a slow and gradual process to undo all of the negative thoughts you have about yourself, but once you get there you can’t go back. Its so depressing to go to school each day and watch all me friends and peers talk exclusively about college. don't get me wrong I'm excited that they're striving for their own dreams and assperations but college never felt right to me. I want to work, but with my hands. Because I don't follow the "normal" path to college I feel like this black sheep who's usually left out from the rest of what's going on. I really appreciate your message and there are many who need to hear such uplifting words to know its okay to break the mold.

@@brianjohnson1346 I feel like the advice is somewhat outdated though, kids now spend all their young years wasting it partying and drinking and doing nothing to set them up for the long term. My goal with this channel is the spread the message that it doesn’t have to be like that, we can do the boring hard stuff while we’re young so we can get the best out of life in our 20s. Btw I really like your channel, how long did it take to build up that farm?
@ your foresight is both admirable and commendable. You are correct, life is a series of choices and resulting consequences. The choices are more critical or… impactful in one’s earlier years for sure. Like shooting at a target… the further away one is, even the smallest movement can cause you to miss entirely. Financial choices are particularly critical that way.
@ oh thanks. The farm is on its fourth generation now, it was originally a sawmill for railroad ties for the first Canadian railway.

@@CalebParkImprovement farm life is….. hmmmmmmm. It’s many things, fulfilling, challenging, consuming… depending on one’s mindset I guess. There’s no off button on cows and animals or the seasons. 24/7 365 It’s a marriage like commitment. I grew up with it, so for me it’s where I measure normal from. I left after my hi school years and returned to it fifteen years later with a wife and our first child. In my opinion raising a family on a farm is as good as it gets. It turns out retirement on a small farm isn’t so bad either.
