Growing up in Muskego, the fire whistle, as we called it, would cycle 12 times for most calls. When there was something really big, it would cycle at least 20 times. Plus, you could hear the whistles from the other 3 houses too.

Just one Engine, and one Tanker for a Basement Structure Fire ? Seems like a mediocre response. Here in Delaware, we roll our own Squad/Rescue Engine, Tanker, and 2 more Engines, and that does not count what our surrounding Depts nearby will be automatically responding with.
