That multi-car race was capped at 45fps as reported by OpenXR toolkit. I'm using Open Composite and mirroring what is seen in the headset to my 2560 x 1440 monitor. Screen capture is in realtime with OBS. MOZA pithouse is also running. The video is extremely smooth in my HP Reverb G2 headset...much smoother than is shown in this UA-cam video. People often forget that television broadcast quality is only 30fps.

@@defaultpilotcrane I would not purposely go out and buy it for VR. It just happens to work out great for me, as I already owned it. That said...I use it to run AC, ACC, AMS2, LFS and RRE all in VR with great result. RF2 is still problematic...failing to load the tracks fully. It'll sometimes hang up at 98% of track loading. Edit: I found out the issue with RF2 was not ARC related. One guy on the S397 forum recommended plugging in headphone jack to the back panel and that sorted the loading issue. Seems odd but it worked. Still scratching my head on that one.

AC 2017 Porsche 911RSR running Fonsecker sound mod. Track uses Peter Boese' PURE lighting mod and Ilja Jusupov' Custom Shaders Patch mod for rain effects and physics when needed.

@0b8 I i works really well...very smooth. At time of the video, I was running an R5-5600X on my MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon with 32GB of DDR4-3600 RAM. Gaming is done on my HP Reverb with G2 like upgrade.. I've since switched to the R7-5800X3d which saw fps increased by almost 60%. I use Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch from llja Jusupov as the new launcher interface for AC. WithIn that program, you can select how you want to launch AC....whether by single screen or VR. I simply launch the sim from within that under WMR, using a shortcut under my virtual desktop. I do that for all my racing sims.

Not sure... I have a lot of sims I can't currently run often, due to time constraints.

It doesn't in any sim...including ACC. The trick to having a good ARC experience, seems to be in not loading their control.

4900 driver broke VR, so I am back to 4887.

When the card was first installed in late December, Ractor2 was the only game that would not launch. All other titles I own ran flawlessly...zero crashes. I have not had one single lockup or crash in AC, ACC, RRE, AMS, AMS2. I use WMR as well on most racing titles. The release of the 4090 Intel driver fixed the RF2 failure to launch. I use Pure and CSP in AC.

I downloaded and installed OpenComposite. It will translate any OpenVR title to OpenXR, thereby bypassing the SteamVR runtime. It'll allow you much better performance.

@@TheGreatNate_ Did you read the document on the OpenComposite site? Don't forget that you have to select steamVR as your video source in the game menu. I am running AMS2, RF2, ACC, AC, RRE and to name a few...all in WMR.

@@TheGreatNate_ Glad you got it sorted. The card does quite well in the titles I play..both in and out of VR. It is very smooth...no stutter. I'm not sure why the majority of reviewers experienced it. What CPU and GPU do you have it paired with?

Yes it is. A770-16 paired with a Ryzen 5600x and 32GB of inexpensive TimeTec DDR4 3600 on a B450 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard. Nothing is overclocked. RAM timings are 'hard' selected and XMP and PBO are set to off in BIOS.

I am also recording the video simultaneously using OBS while also running WMR on an HP Reverb G2.

No on Iracing but that takes less resources to run than Assetto Corsa Competizione, so it should run quite well. I currently run ACC, AC, RF2, RRE, AMS2 and AMS...all run very, very well. The big thing you need to do is turn on above 4G decode and resizable bar in the BIOS.

Depending on the circuit, I sometimes see as much as 140 fps on ultra settings in AC and AMS2. More important than all out fps for me, is smoothness. It is something I experience quite a bit with this card. I am not on cutting-edge equipment. I run an R5-5600x on an MSI B450 with 32GB of DDR4-3600. It is just configured properly to take advantage of the maximum speed I can extract.

I have a Ryzen 5-5600x on an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard with 32 GB of DDR4 3600 RAM. I alternate between an LG 27" 1080P 144 Hz panel and an HP Reverb G2 WMR headset. The ARC A770 is currently using Intel's 4091 driver.

@@netkishi77 All are good choices. I personally went with A770 because I like to tinker. I also like the potential from the 256 bit bus, along with the 16 GB of VRAM. For WMR in games like ACC with most settings high to epic, that buffer becomes more and more useful.

Not checked but much smoother than it appears on UA-cam. Very surprising given how much some guys with better graphics cards complain. Using the GTX670 as a temporary 'stop-gap' until I can buy either the RX6800XT or the RTX3000 series with more VRAM.

Do you need the cockpit FOV or the actual in-game settings?

It is 1080p with almost all settings at epic. No additional .ini files.

PC: Ryzen5 3600X, MSI X470 Gaming Plus, GTX1080Ti, 32 GB Ballistix Sport DDR4-3000 (modified timings to 14-17-17-36) Game boost and XMP disabled and frequency at default...all settings high in game. Resolution 1920 x 1080.
