Combining two of my favorite hobbies in one package - and channel!
History X Bike is a fusion experiment where Philippine history and biking intermix. Historical places will be explored via bike and these local spots will be given a hands-on treatment and hopefully, more exposure and attention to these sites by the riding public and everyone who appreciates history and the stories behind these places that had at one time played a significant role in our country's past.
Please like and subscribe to the channel and follow me as we go around and find history... by bike!

Scared jan maraming ghost😮
Maganda pumunta dyan.

Where is the boat departure point and how do your arrange boat and what is cost?
@dwayneday6530 no regular trips to Fort Drum. We arranged this via the local government of Tanza, Cavite. The departure point is in Julugan beach in Tanza.
That was a waste of an hour.
@@oafdawg314 You do it better
Hindi ko narating yan. Gusto ko makita in real the mark of WWII. It's amazing!
After watching this video, all I can say is "grabe!" So much destruction, tsk tsk. Amazing what is left. But I bet eventually it will crumble from the salt of the ocean... 😕 Thank for this unedited cut version of your tour.
@@kevinsoundmixer I'd say we go an expedition there sometime real soon! Ready the recording equipment. 😁
Bumababa siguro sa Lugar na yan

Tektites - the largest true tektite is from the Philippines and weighs 1294 grams. Muong Nong-type impact glass reaches maximum size of about 24 kg. Analysis shows they are glass and contain no minerals. Free nickel and iron are generally not found in tektites (there have been some dubious reports). Australites were shock melted by asteroid impact and then cooled in space. They were reheated on atmospheric re-entry by ram pressure.
@@auberonlamdinwhymark2827 any idea where that largest tektite is now?

@@kevinsoundmixer too bad we weren't able to check out the old municipal building. I believe there are some World War II artifacts inside there. It was a Sunday, so the place was closed for the weekend. We will try to get back though.
Thank you for covering this battle, and for the shout out! I'd love to do a collab video sometime related to our might 11th Airborne Division in the war
Would be my pleasure to show you around the Mamatid lakeshore where the troops offloaded the POWs from Los Baños. I just live nearby. Thanks for watching Jeremy!

Regarding Nielson Field, my Grandfather (Col. Curtis L. Lambert) was leasing 3 of the 4 hangers there prior to and after the war. He founded the American-Far Eastern School of Aviation (AFESA) as well as the Philippines Aircraft Corporation in 1935. He worked with MacArthur and Eisenhower to train the Philippine Air Corp aa well as ready the U.S. Air Corp with their limited aviation readiness. My Grandfather escaped Corregidor on the PT convoy to be reassigned to the (Eagle Pass?) base in Australia. Ironically, the owner of the hangers tried to sue my grandfather for back rent while Japan occupied the hangers. In 1946 he co-founded Commercial Airlines, Inc. (CALI) in Manila. PAL eventually ran them out of business. It's frustrating to see only a fraction of the events that happened are documented during that time.
@@ctrefry thanks for sharing that footnote on the Nielson Field!

Medyo bitin pa po sa punta diyan sa Taal (hindi namin napasok ang mga museum). Sa susunod na lang na pagbalik. Napakaganda po ng inyong bayan. Maraming salamat din po sa panonood.
Nostalgic! Spend most of my childhood in this place. My grandfather is Herminigildo Geroche, he's the football coach and professor at RI. Our grandparents used to have a canteen near the entrance of the school. Good old memories, From the students sitting in footsteps of our small balcony during recess, either wearing school uniforms or football jersey. The lugaw , spaghetti, minatamis na saging, sarsi, (and more) that my grandma sells, to the lusciuos boungainvillea and different kinds of plants and trees. We used to play in the football field, and if you go across the end, there's a small river stream. When you smell the burning cane sugar, you know you reached Canlubang. All my uncle's studied in RI and they play either football or baseball. On the other hand, my mom and aunties studied in Sta. Cecillia and Mary Help.I wish to go back in time and experience the same again. ❤
Yes, your grandfather Mr. Geroche was our shop instructor at RIDB. I am from Batch 1999 of Rizal Institute. Thank you for watching my video of Canlubang! Please don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel.

It is not a tomb. This is just his execution site. The remains of the general was flown back to Japan and is lodged at the Tama Reien cemetery in Tokyo.
