Diese schwachsinnigen Kreaturen pressen alle Phantasie und Kreativität der Menschen haraus, nur um sie zu vernichten. Wenn das Wort Scheiße stirbt stirbt die Menschheit!
I swear I heard this melody before, but can't remember where or when. I love and hate this feeling. Anyways, this song gives me these vibes and it's goooood!
This is one of my favorite songs to sing in English, with the chorus in Gaelic, and I am so glad there is a German version. I can't wait to learn it :)
Thank you for having this posted, I have been looking for this song for years and hearing it made me pick up my flute again after a long time of having given up on playing one.
I have been studying German for a few months and though it can be difficult, there are many sources I use that add humour, more insight, and thousands of examples. I like the challenge. Faun was the first group I came across when looking for German music and I already have 6 songs on my cell. Today I will be adding the ones from this playlist. Awesome sounding group!
And this is exactly the part when the lyrics say that her lover really died in the war and will never come back. Before this part she sang "I gave my lover away in spring" and then when the bells come she sings "I gave my lover away for ever"...like bells of a church on a burial...and with that drums in the background which sound like the drums from a military parade. This hits sooo good
Just for the public, German was changed after WWtwo. The allies forced the German people to change their language so that they could not be as strong ever again. My family experienced the torment of the post war even though we were in the states at the time. We could no longer speak Old German. And the old books were burned. Watch out. It’s coming again in this nation. Real German is poetic and gentle. What they sing here is post war German. You won’t hear the Old stuff any longer. The Germans were threatened w death if they used their native Lang. Even here.
I'm slowly teaching myself the language Het mooiste Duitse liedje ❤

Einer meiner Lieblingslieder....sehr traurig...aber es drückt die Gefühle aus wenn man einen geliebten Menschen verliert

I first heard this version on my Celtic Pandora station as Suil a Ruin and thought it was brilliant. The German version though sounds epic as hell!
