Having fun with Agnes Kerr. I'm planning to have Sampler September continue on!

I would love the chance to try out specialty stitches on Agnes.

I stopped into the shop this summer and you were all so lovely to me. Little did I know that just a few months later in September, my adopted state of NC would need help from so many and our gratitude to John and everyone else is too large to be measured.

P.S. Crochet is indeed faster than knitting -- BUT it takes more yarn (knit stitches are loops. Period. Crochet stitches -- except for the chain -- are "sticks", which take more yarn to construct. And the higher the 'stick' (single, double, treble crochet) or the larger the 'v' (granny square stitches) the more yarn required. So if you're planning to actually attempt a blanket from that stashed yarn, just keep that in mind when you determine what size you want to make versus how much yarn you have (which may already be discontinued). Just a thought...

I would love to stitch Agnes! I had a great-aunt "Aggie" -- one of four sisters of my paternal grandfather and his brother. My father's family, the Rennies, hailed from Kilsyth, Scotland (NE of Glasgow), so Agnes -- like me -- had a bit of Scots blood in her, and such a sampler would be highly appropriate for a Rennie descendent, like me, to stitch! PLUS I'm thinking it might look very nice on my first piece of fabric from your new "Traditional" Fabric Club. Just a thought! 😀

I wish every month was sampler September. I need to add an Agnus sampler to my collection. Great video and catching up time.

So many amazing finishes! I didn’t get a chance to participate in Sampler September this year but both patterns are just amazing. I love the colours in the Agnes Kerr pattern especially. Kerri - your sweater is amazing! I wanted to knit an Evenfall sweater years ago and never did. It’s back to the top of my list! Hope you feel better soon.
