Huion Kamvas Pro 19 Unboxing and Review - Better than Wacom
This is an unboxing and test made for Huion Kamvas 19 inch. Everything went perfectly! I have the device connected to the Macbook Pro M1 max. For questions and video suggestions I will be in the comments section below!

Review part went where?
Where is the review portion?
This is Indian classical music 😍
could you rotate 3d model by fingers in zbrush?
Touch support is really bad on Mac from what I saw !!!
Staying offline dream 😊
Does the touch screen work on Mac? Is there any parallax? Is there a gap between the pen and the display itself (because of the glass) or is it gapless like the iPads screen?
touch not working - I don't use it anyways- Parallax in minor, gap is minor - there is a glass edged glass
@@escapeentropy Does that mean that a future software upgrade will fix this?
Not yet, but I assume in the future
@@escapeentropy I bought it and it's such little distance I got used to it within a day or two. Fantastic tablet. Edit: I just realised I was talking about the touchscreen as well. Woops. I shortcut rotate etc on my keyboard so thats no problem anymore either ;)
@@wvlfboyy A question for you: There were some reports from experience that the pixels on the display appear somewhat soft, due to anti-glare coating of the display. What are your impressions?
Never support Wacom, they use AI to do promotional material for the new tablets, instead of asking the user base of their product to make one for them, or pay a real artiest to make them one, they used AI. Do not support such companies. Huion, is the better option, just based on that fact alone.
this one / the 27 version or the wacom cintiq pro 24, idc about price, which should i get
Wacom is a better experience. But the question is, how much do you use your pen tablet. If you use it a few times a week, you don't really need to buy a Wacom. But if you use it several hours every single day, it becomes more sensible to go for the Wacom. It's all about that pen technology and Wacom stands undefeated, even if Huion is getting close-ish.
I'm really happy for you. The excitment of getting such a nice equipment is thrilling. The line quality looks surprisingly great. I'm glad artists have a lot of options these days.
Huion kamvas pro 19 or huion kamvas pro 24 (4k)? Which one is better?❤
pro 19 because of the new pens
I thought this was a review? I didn’t hear a single word, just heavy ass breathing
😂😂😂
Get rid of the cord and Make it battery powered. 19" is perfect size for both art and entertainment. The fake scratchy paper sound is annoying.
Does the multitouch function works when you connect it to a MacBook?
not yet, will be
@@EscapeEntropy3DArtist on Huion Tablet channel, they have uploaded Tutorial, How to set up Kamvas pro 19 Touch function on macOS
@@EscapeEntropy3DArtist huion has uploaded Tutorial ( How to set up Kamvas pro 19 Touch function on macOS )
So how’s it compare to a Cintiq- quality and build wise? Limitations? Failures? Could be betters? Is the pro line the Wacom killer I’ve been waiting for?
It really is at the level of wacom, all the components, from the screen to the pens, pens that look and feel great
Sadly, pen initial activation force is still not on par with Wacom. Maybe one more generation. May not matter to you though, depends on your use case, but the difference is noticeable to pro illustrators/painters.
@@skeletr Have you tried the new pen tech 4 with the Kamvas 19? I have the previous generation pen tech 3 Huion 16 Pro 4K, and the initial activation force on that is not quite as good as Wacoms, but I believe this is something Huion improved with pen tech 4.
@skeletr it really isn't, you're just being pretentious. "Pro" illustrators right on youtube are selling their wacoms because the price is just not justified anymore. If you want to be fooled by a company that's demanding ridiculous prices, be their guest. They thrive off of people like you, who value the logo mark more than any tangible difference in quality. And you tried to convince this guy he wasn't good enough to be able to tell the difference. Lmao, you're a real clown for that one.
i like it but i struggled for a good 30 mins to an hour getting the drivers working. on the wacom they just work on huion 19 pro i had to read on reddit how to get it to work on multi screen and then try to figure iut how to get pressure to work on clip studio. i eventually got it but i was getting frustrated.
Can I ask if the RGB sliders in Native/User color mode work properly? A recent owner on reddit said they've dumbed down the OSD settings and the RGB sliders give a false tint and oversaturate colors without actually affecting the white point which is needed when manually calibrating. Can you confirm this? thanks
I have to check soon what you said
@@EscapeEntropy3DArtist thanks a lot!
It's a common problem with wide-color gamut displays because of gpu driver. You have to use an srgb clamp tool to fix this problem. Each gpu brand has a different way of doing this, so it's not a problem from huion.
@@DraconicA5 i dont think thats what im talking about but yes srgb clamping helps these oversaturated displays
Are you using a wacom intuos when showing the tablet?
yes, because the driver has no conflict at all
Cool, thanks for your reply 😊
Hey, great review, thank you for posting. I agree with the previous comment, but I still really appreciate you posting! One question: What kind of PC / laptop do you need to run this smoothly?
You don’t need hi end pc nowadays. It depends on program you choose to work with. Photoshop for example is very cpu intensive.
Ideally a PC with the followings : - CPU : intel core i5 12th gen or equivalent or better - GPU : Nvidia GTX 1050 or equivalent or better
Adobe programs and internet browsers eat RAM, 16 GB would be the minimum to go for - video editing and 3D programs require a good GPU. You won't need the best PC, but those will certainly make a difference. Best regards.
Thumbs up for liner draw test! Things I would've wished in the video: 1. Some talking to hear your toughts and toneasier understand what comes in the box 2. Close upnat times of example the lines when drawing to see closely if there is wiggle or not. 3. If not talking thrn mqby turning of the mic would be better alternative hearing someone make low-key groans or cought sounds isn't really pleasing per say. 4. Might be hard to do but I would've wished for a better picture quality it's a bit blurry. Also I strongly recomend making a new thumbnail! One that shows both sculpting and drawing in the same thimbnail because I was discurage to click on this video first since I only draw and not sculpt. Letting people know there is drawing in the video too would be super good! Thank you for reviewing it! Why do you think it's better than wacom I'm curious. I hope you continute releasing videos ^_^
Thank you for the feedback! You put a lot of effort into writing this much and I appreciate everything you said. This video was put up hastily, I was planning a talk over, but I didn't have time to insert it, maybe I'll post it later. To answer your question why I think it is better, because I have worked with many wacom tablets over time: Cintiq 22, Mobile studio pro 16, intuos large, intuos pro medium, etc. and I can tell the difference. In the present case, this graphics tablet is exceptional, it feels very smooth, it's a better feeling than wacom. As you can see the drivers go together without conflict between them and Huion and Wacom.
