    If the Big12 goes after the Zags they need to also add WSU, and OSU for BYU. They could also try to get AZ, and SDSU. College basketball is awesome nobody knows who is going to win the NCAA tournament.

    New C-USA is better then the MAC. C-USA Baseball and Basketball and even football in C-USA is better then the MAC. According to the deal, the TV partner has the ability to provide the school more money.

    Worst FBS league is close. Have you looked at MAC this year? They had only two teams even rated higher than 92 in composite rankings. Even with putting the new teams in, I think you could make the case that CUSA started out virtually equal to the MAC, while being much better in basketball and baseball.

    Forget Gonzaga, take Boise State and Fresno State. Good football teams, good competitors. Football is where the money is so that certainly leaves Gonzaga out. If you took them in for basketball only that would be a great call.

      Gonzaga doesn't have a football team so it would obviously be basketball only and their payout would reflect that.

    Subject idea; The Midwest Sprint Football League has completed it's first 6 game season. How Financially viable is it? Is It Brand Visibility for smaller universities? Can D1 conferences sponsor Sprint Football, then switch to FCS non-scholarship football? Can Wichita State start a Sprint Football team build up the fan base, then evolve to a FBS American Athletic Conference member as scholarships are reallocated over years.

      If football drives athletics at a college why would any conference want Gonzaga? Great basketball teams but nothing else. If the PAC conference survives they should add Boise State and Fresno State. Good football.. good money!

    Well, they got what they wanted. They also got the answer as to why hbcus aren't invited to the playoffs. They're not qualified to be in the playoffs and letting them in leaves out other qualified teams that actually have earned the right to be in and legitimately have a shot to win a playoff game. Famu got absolutely stomped by an average and unranked southeastern louisiana in the first round. Hbcus suck in all areas...athletics, facilities, financial support, fan support, coaching, and academics. They're subpar universities and colleges in every aspect. Facts are facts.

    Tech needs to add about 7-15 non technical majors. This has to be done to compete in modern football.

    • @guywhite1004
      @guywhite1004 2 роки тому

      No they don’t! Tech is what it is because of its Technology focus. We don’t need to dilute the student body with ringers or the curriculum with crib courses just to be good at football. It has been proven in the past with coaches Heisman, Dodd, Ross, and Johnson that Tech can win and be respectable. They have to play smart not only on the field but also in their recruiting. BME ‘73.

    • @qmccall0328
      @qmccall0328 2 роки тому

      @@guywhite1004 OK if you want to be important every 30 - 40 years OK. Johnson only won because of the system with low quality players. Plus the ACC is a very weak conference. Adding a few non technology.majors won't hurt anything! Tech already has 5 or so right now. Majoring in something less than technology does not mean you aren't smart. My point is most people aren't interested in being an engineer ;thus, you have no chance of recuriting an intelligent athlete who does not desire to be an engineer is my point. So adding is not diluting anything - you are actually enhancing the student body. If not continue to be irrelevant in football and get your ass kicked by GA down the road for next 40 years.

    Anyone who is surprised now to learn it will be a complete rebuild wasn’t paying attention. They had apparently announced months ago to some ticket buyers that this would be the last season at the current Ryan Field, and he spells it out at one point in this interview (nine months before today’s release of preliminary designs)
