Cleary Bikes is a kid’s bicycle manufacturer based out of Sausalito, California. Producing five size variations that can be adjusted as kids grow, you can choose from: the Starfish 12" balance bike, the Gecko 12” single speed bicycle, the Hedgehog 16” single speed bike, the Owl 20” single speed bicycle or the Meerkat24” bike.

Cleary Hedgehog - 16" kids bikes for 3-5 year olds

The Hedgehog is a preschooler’s "do anything" bike. Kids ride this rig to tackle trails, race BMX and hunt for caterpillars in the neighborhood. This bike’s lightweight, modern geometry and medium gear ratio make it a nimble climber. Hedgehog's low center of gravity make them easy for kids to control. Don’t be surprised if your son or daughter learns to balance standing on the Hedgehog’s top tube.

I can't get the brake cable to reach now
Did you find a fix for this? I have the same issue. Its very tight and won't connect now.

Is it possible to buy the Gheko with a shorter stem? From what I’ve seen it pulls the young riders too far forward. Otherwise the rider geometry would be very good.
The Gecko's 50mm stem is one part of the bike's design that provides beginning riders with a riding posture balanced between their feet, hands and seat. Cleary does offer longer and shorter stems to enable you to customize your child's position, if you wish.
I just received a Gecko and this is not the set of reflectors that came in the box. The ones I received do not rotate or adjust. The front reflector is obscured by the brake lever and cables. Pretty disappointing that a $300+ bike doesn't come with basic safety equipment. I'll also note that I only received two of the cable end crimps, not four as shown in this video. Not a big deal, but the bike I received had 4+ inches of extra brake cable out of the box - pretty unnecessary and so I've already used the extras provided.
Hi Sydney, please email support@clearybikes.com your questions about positioning the reflectors included with your bike. We'll talk you through that. The brake cable on your Gecko is sized to accommodate the standard flat handlebar or a wider riser bar if you choose that set-up, without necessitating your buying new cable.

Awesome video! My daughter has been rockin’ the Meerkat for about 8 months now and she’s loving it! Her little sister is getting one for herself in a few months. Please make a 27.5 version that they can graduate to in a year or so.
