Your feet should be kicked up, they put cleats on that ladders feet for dirt and even ice...also no one can hold a ladder once it goes, standing on the bottom rung is the best action. You are probably not qualified to give safety instruction.

I remember my dad showing me this a few years ago. I had no idea that you could just trim the line and move the plug. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I have used plenty of connectors like this in the past but it had never occurred to me that you could use one on a plug. I don't know why this is not used anywhere else besides Christmas lights.

BRO.. YOUR WRONG. hot glue is junk glue. It will not hold up from the heat or cold that wire will pop-up very soon, you need to use rubberize, concrete, silicone. You should do research before posting.

As an Electrician, I must say that this is not a permanent solution. If something goes in the crevice and nicks the wire, someone’s pet can be Electrocuted or even a person. This is only one possible issue, there are countless things that can still fail or go wrong with this rigging. Be safe

What you really do is get a concrete saw. You then cut through the concrete making 2 parallel lines about 12 inches apart. Dig out the soil forming a trench at the depth required for PVC conduit. Call an electrician, pay him to install conduit amd wire in the dug out trench and terminate the wires for the device you needed to power up.
