Ford fuel tank selector valve problem found!
Переглядів 178Місяць тому
1989 Ford E150 fuel tank selector valve nightmare! How I fixed it: After new fuel pumps, new selector valve, etc, still had problems with system not functioning correctly. Vent hose on rear tank was crushed between the top of the tank and the body. This caused an increase in vapor pressure in the tank, which prevented the selector valve from operating correctly, in this instance!

Part 2 of 7 parts. This was videoed in available light and in camera michrophones. I raised the audio, due to well behaved class. Betty had non working lavalier michrophone, and she speack softly. But if you crank the volume, you can hear her story.

This was a class teaching done in 2017 when she was 89. Betty Grebenschikoff wrote the book,"Once My name was Sara." She was 9 years old when she escaped. a film "Shanghai Gheto" was made in 2002. As real as it gets. This is first of 7 short videos.

I have a Red S 180k miles running great. What did this sell for after posting on ebay ? Thanks
There was a zero bidding war. I had to let it go for the ridiculous price of $2k, which was my opening bid. no reserve. Buyer joked to me at the time he intended to take it into the woods as a beater. No idea if he was serious. I had to sell it to him or have my blemish free Ebay rating besmirched. Big mistake to sell it without a reserve. Very few are interested.
Problem not solved I changed the board and still can't go into service mode
In my video there was a multi-meter. I hoped to communicate that I had first checked power to the board, as well as the inputs to the board. Lid position switch, rotary input switch, etc. Board replacement comes last after eliminating other possibilities. I'm thinking no power, bad input, or you might have two bad boards. Sorry you are having trouble with the machine. Mine still works.
I had one tell I hit a telephone pole.
Ouwch!
I have a GE stackable the its flashing lights wash & spin replaced lid lock and get not get into service mode, I do the 3 seconds thing and it won't go into service mode ...Any advice ?? Thank you
I'm not an expert because my set up is still working fine since I made the "No Service Mode" video. If you have carefully read the service sheet that comes concealed in the machine, and done everything exactly as it tells you to do, and still no service mode... I guess it is time to get a new circuit board like I did. I just checked online and the circuit board is still available.
After i press paulse and start the ge stackable wont start how to service it? Also change lid switch same thing jam What to do?
Beautiful! Nice to see a Trump sign in the yard of a bike with a Jersey license plate!
Supposed to be a big press conference this Monday at 11:00 AM at Bedford NJ!😀
Would be awesome to be there! Most people get their thrills from skydiving or motorcycles. The Donald gets his from fighting those knuckleheads! He’s the right man for the job!

My 84 Accord was 3spd Auto, much higher trim, and NOT nice when near any limit
Gosh, I miss that car. I didn't know at 18 how direct the feedback and limits could be
I loved that. I lived that! My 3rd or 4th old car. The 2nd I bought with my teenage $!. It was a 5sp manual that, in hindsight, was the most whippable highest precision fun go-kart I've driven ever since. I got skillfully stupid in that thing on my local tight, twisty, hilly local roads. Always felt traction and weight transfer, to hoon, with enough gears to go highway
Those days are gone, sadly. I too had a bunch of these cars. My fav was a 78 body with a 79 motor. The 78 motor was bad when I got it. Had it for a couple of years, then was rear ended at a stop light. Was only a hard tap, but it totalled the body. The struts were attached to the body with two studs instead of three. The struts were branded DeCarbon in the parts book. The later bodies were fun but they never rode as well as the early car.
Any chance you know what highway pegs those are? I bought some but they just ain't gonna bend and go to where I need em to and those look like they would. Being tall does have a disadvantage once in a while.
Sorry. I bought the bike used with them already on. Try typing into Ebay search "Goldwing cruiser pegs"
@@HamiltonSRink Thanks. I've never done that before. Ha. Jk.
Wheels look SICK!!!
👍
This was my first car mine was a base 5sp manual, burgundy exterior. no ac, a 83 bought used in 87, for $4,000, I didn't even look at the other cars on the lot, it was the only honda, and I knew civics were good reliable cars. That car drove and ran great. And it still looked brand new. And it got me through many pittsburgh snow storms like a little tractor, up and down the hilly terrain. Then I moved D.C.and drove it back and forth to PA on occasion for 10 yrs that I owned it, ended up selling it to dc cab driver with 180,000 mi on it. That car was a little dependable tank .🤓
Yes, they were great cars! I've moved on to the Prius. Even better! Less maintenance required, and even better gas mileage!
Great I'm hoping that's what my issue is. I know there's about 5 possibilities. ECM, Clogged intake, Clogged EGR Cooler/valve, and the motor.
Of all the accessories Imust say Go TRUMP
👍
Guess the electronic suspension is by WP Suspension, not Sachs
Why on earth would you come to that conclusion?
Page not found. Did you send the correct link?
WP forks are manually adjustable. Sachs are electronicly adjustable. This bike has electronicly adjusted type.
Where did you get the seat. I have an 05 and the stock seat is rough. I'm 6ft 2in and that seat looks like a great solution. Thanks
Stock seat with beaded seat topper. ebay or amazon

Nice bike, thanks for knowing who's best for our country, MAGA
Glad you like it! I'm watching intently the Kari Lake AZ governor's race lawsuits. Election Fraud might get to see the light of day. Which could mean that MAGA happens sooner rather than in 2024. She has already shown a problem with signatures not matching!
Nice✌️👍
Very nice bike except for that TRUMP STICKER IN FRONT

I have the exact same bike. Previous owner was law enforcement and used it for off duty work. he didn't take very good care of it. I have rectified that. Has close to 80,000 miles. It is the base model with premium audio.
Very nice! I have an 08 as well. Same color. Mine has the Comfort/NAV/Audio package and she just turned over 32k. I bought her almost two years ago. I just installed the same Ergo II pegs. One of the best year / models

hi i realy appreciate you you ve a v nice car lovely
I love your car! I have a 1981 Civic 1500 GL.
Had the exact same car with same color scheme. Mine had an aftermarket sunroof. had many many issues with it but loved the car. Sold it with over 220k miles.
WUAO PERFECT
Why, do you think? Almost EVERY time I scroll through YOU TUBE, every one is experiencing mysterious electrical problems with their TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLE? It is though LUCAS is doing something nefarious again.....old joke, "good thing that Lucas doesn't make an Electric Chair" Why hasn't TRIUMPH having a MASSIVE recall?
A loose connection where the wire clips onto the starter solenoid is a human error. 2013 Triump Trophy 1200se has no Lucas anything as far as I know.
Great to know people still appreciate these older cars. I can't understand this mania that we have in our society for getting a new car all the time.
Thanks for the positive interest. Driving the stick shift was fun and I saw 30 mpg average. Nowadays I have a 2008 Toyota Camry hybrid. A bigger car that is quite smooth and never returns less than 36 mpg average. I paid my mortgage working on Hondas. I'm retired now so I prefer a car that rarely needs attention.
Wow amazing footage!
Thanks! You are very kind! I have bird feeders near my kitchen window. This osprey was only about 40 feet away, looking for some easy pickings. Shot with a Lumix FZ2500.
hi, beautiful car i have one like that which i have been working on i can't get the spring and shocks any where since you restore yours just wondering if you can tell me where i can find the spring and shocks for my 83 civic hatchback , if you can help me with this i will really appreciated. thanks Ernesto
I got mine from rockauto.com. If they offer springs and struts still, I suggest getting the front springs for the civic wagon, and cutting off a little bit. Reason being the car rides a bit mushy. The stiffer wagon springs will help stiffen up the front. You will need to cut a bit off so the front end does not ride too high. I just checked their site. They have springs for the front.
@@HamiltonSRink thank you so much i will look them up , i really appreciated because my shocks are shut i keep u posted
Hi sir, I have similar problems as you had. Same MC same problem. Nothing happens when I press the start button. If the relay is the same, I changed places on some without better results. The start button does not receive any power to forward. If I connect 12v directly to the solenoid then the MC starts. What do you think might be wrong? Grateful if you can give me some time and help me. Motorcycle friend from Sweden
Turns out that the ignition switch wire has an update campaign. Seems that the wire bends quite a bit as the steering is moved left and right. Quite probably your situation. Here in USA, the dealership is responsible to do repairs and reroute the wires from the ignition switch. Consult your nearest dealer for details. Happy New Year!
@@HamiltonSRink Thanks so much. I also have the right to submit a motorcycle to a dealer. Made an appointment. Hope that may be what's wrong
@@memki2472 let me know how you make out!
@@HamiltonSRink And to you all the best in this New Year
Love to do this with my mom's car like this it's silver with red interior
I remember back in the day, a first year Prelude with silver and red interior. Very stunning! The radio was mounted high in the dash with the main knobs right next to each other. As if they redesigned the radio just for the car. I only ever saw one, that one.
@@HamiltonSRink yes that car they didn't make as many as the accord's but yes it too was a very nice looking car as well I just wish they would have made a better carb to put on both like the aftermarket Weber that allot of people are going to but I wish they could make a adapter plate so you could use the stock air cleaner underneath of it
@@ksk101963 Actually, as I was a factory trained Honda tech working flat rate at the local dealership, I had the opportunity to learn what gives with that carb. The carburetor was truly excellent. All carburetors need to be serviced every 5 years or so. The Keihin 3 bore carb is no different. The mixture is quite precise, and if you had a slow leak in the distributor vaccum advance diaphram, or the vaccum controlled bowl vent, or the choke pull off, or anywhere for that matter, it ran poorly. If the customer was a little old lady who thought 24mph was just fine, it would carbon up the auxliary valve. In short, they had their idiosyncracies, but the carb was really well made, and worked well most of the time. The webers were resorted to by those who did not have the patience to learn the Honda way. The webers ran ok, but the emissions were greater than the stock carb and all systems working well. Personally, I liked the Keihin carb.
I see the ebay listing is still up, is that you or someone else?
The car is being sold by the guy I sold it to. New listing. Pheonix Arizona current location.
has this car been sold
Alas, yes.
Current owner has relisted the car in Ebay. One day left in the auction.
@HamiltonSRink you really did the old Accord justice. Owned the same color hatch in 91. Unfortunately our New England wintera destroyed the frame. Fun car, great memories
I thinking of buying one is it worth it or do they not sale parts for them no more?
Parts are hard to find, these days.
stackable kenmore dryer works but washer does not drain -- I have 3 spin options and none work , I checked the pump for debris it was clear . system will not drain or spin . it will not spin when empty either . dial appear to be mechanical. what is your recommendation.
What I have has a small hose connected to the outer drum. At the top is a three wire sensor. This is a pressure sensor. When water is in the tub, the water enters the hose and compresses the air above it. As it does, the sensor reads an increase in pressure. That is how the brain (computer) knows that there is water in the tub. If you hear a metallic gear noise as you turn the control knob, you have a timer switch type. No brain, just performs functions one at a time until all the functions are complete. If you have an electrically driven pump that is supposed to empty the tub when the timer tells it to, get a 110v test light and see if the pump has power when it should. If no power, might be a bad timer switch. If power, might be a bad pump. I have seen some types drive the pump mechanically from on top of the main motor. If pump is electric, either bad pump or no power to the pump.
Good job. Where do you find spare parts for it? I need them for my own similar Honda Accord in order to be able to keep it.
I had parts because I broke cars, and I was a Honda dealership mechanic. Plus, before it became collectable, Ebay was a treasure trove of parts, at very low prices. I do still have a few parts left over. I sold the car, What are you looking for?
Have the same stackable but my dryer has power but my washer doesn't what can it be
Did you enter service mode and retrieve the code?
Hi! Did you fixed it? I have now same problem. Dryer is working but washer doesn't. I already replaced main board and UI board but nothing changed.
Did you figure out what was wrong? having the same problem…

Perhaps you failed to hear the last few sentences in the video. The car is long gone.

how much is the mother board for the washer
It has been 3 years or so. Mine was $220.
My two cars are also a 1982 Civic HB and a 1999 Accord! Love those Civic S models!
What about common GE trick: unplug for one minute, plug back in, open and close lid 6 times in 12 seconds to reset motor control ( only have to lift lid 2").
That works if you try it and there is a change. In my case, there was no change, no life, nothing.
@@HamiltonSRink My first time servicing GE COMBO. I've dealt with many Frigidaire ones - not fun.
Unfortunately, board only comes with a new motor now!. I wonder why? Different voltage? Unit is only 5 years old
That is new information to me. My machine has been working fine since replacement of the board. I have not looked into new board availability since.
@@HamiltonSRink well, at least for my customer's model. And then in short supply. Same when I checked the motor part number. Both sub to a kit including both. Very strange
Since Haier bought GE 5 years ago, much has changed. Parts more difficult to get. Many new appliances are rebranded models from various manufacturers including Samsung and Midea. Haier did have a refrigerator factory in the Carolinas last I checked. And GE used to share a refrigerator factory with LG in Mexico.
@@Jake-by9ly I bet Covid 19 has changed the market too!

They get to be a certain age, and suddenly the many parts on ebay are just gone!
I had this very model brand new.....
Cool!
This looks like a good place for us to camp when our teardrop camper is done so peaceful to listen to. First like and a sub
Thanks! This pond is just off of an old railroad right of way. The tracks are gone. Mostly bicycles and dirt bikes now a days. A tear drop camper would be nice, but it would block the road. Swamp on the other side. I've lived nearby for last 35 years, only heard the sound once. Lucky to have my camera at the time! Legal camping at nearby Belle Plain State Forest, when the covid passes.
