I repair and restore anything I can get my hands on. In most cases it's mechanical and/or electrical and hopefully rusty metal and dirty.
But most of all, I love restoring vintage bicycles.
My channel is only for the entertainment of the viewers and not for professional teaching. I am not an expert and carry out my activities exclusively according to my experience and knowledge.
But of course you can ask questions or simply comment on my videos, so we can exchange experiences and useful information.

Rusty garden tool - Lawn shears - FULL RESTORATION ASMR
I would like to introduce you to a tool from the garden house. This is a lawn edger. I took the tool with me from a house clearance. It's been lying around for a long time and now I want to restore it. In this video I would like to show you how I restored the tool.
First I completely disassembled the scissors. All rusted parts were glass bead blasted and the old paint was removed. The tool is predominantly riveted and only screwed in some areas. On this project I got to know the connection and the “riveting” process and learned how to use the connection. I also really learned and put into practice how to sharpen a blade while doing this project.
To prevent the parts from rusting further, I painted some parts and browned some parts with vinegar and sealed them with oil.

I really enjoyed restoring this moped. It is a Simson Schwalbe KR51/2 from 1985. It was built in GDR Germany. It stood in a barn for a long time and no one dared to restore it. As luck would have it, it came into my hands and now shines in new splendor. The ride on the moped is in the next video. I want to keep it a little exciting. In this video I restore this exotic engine from a VeloSolex 3800 from 1969. I replaced all seals, bearings and lines with new ones. All parts were very dirty and corroded. A beautiful moped that definitely deserves its second chance. I found the Hercules completely run down, rusty, dirty and unusable at first glance. Feel free to take a look at how it turned out after the restoration. I would say I succeeded.

Da hat jemand aber nicht da erste mal Restauriert oder ist sogar Zweiradmechaniker. Bei den Speichen wäre ich schon gescheitert, da würde alles krumm und eine Acht drin sein. Sonst super Arbeit nur die Blinkergehäuse passen nicht mehr ganz dazu. Mich wundert das noch verzinnt wurde, ist ja heute verpönnt, da durch die Säure es wieder zu rosten anfangen kann. Kenne es aber auch noch aus meiner Lehrzeit als Kfz-Mechaniker vor 40 Jahren.

Tolle Restauration...Respekt. Schade das Motorblock und Seitendeckel nicht poliert wurden, das bekommt beim Abnehmen des Tunnels eine besondere Note.

I have practized the Velosolex since I was a teenager. I still owe a pair of them. So, seeing this one being resurrected was pure pornography to me. Every detail felt so familiar. Congrats for this brilliant demonstration of skills and patience. 🤩 This being said, I was suprised to see you use a 10 mm socket so often. Are export Velosolex built different? The french domestic models are the kingdom of 9 mm bolts and nuts, for most of the assembly. Maybe it was changed, so as foreign customers wouldn't have to re-invest in a different set of tools? Interesting.
Wow, that's nice, I'm glad. No, all models have 9mm, I only had to use new screws in some cases, so I used the 10mm ones :)

Gutes Video, aber hätte der Kurbelwelle nicht mehr vertraut, vorallem da eine neue nur 50€ kostet, aber naja.
Quetschkante auch nicht vermessen, wenn du Pech hast und das maß ganz schön gering ist, kannst den Zylinder bald weg hauen.
Alles wird gut machen sie sich keine Sorgen :D
können sie mir trotzdem verraten welche quetschkante sie meinen?
@@restorwerke Klar gerne, sollte nicht böse klingen der Kommentar. Also zwischen dem Zylinder und dem Zylinderkopf gibt es eine sogenannte quetschkante, das ist die Kante bevor der Kolben den Zylinderkopf berührt. Es gibt gute UA-cam Videos dazu 😁. Ich bin leider etwas schreibfaul deswegen gibt es jetzt von mir keine Anleitung. Viel Spaß 👍

@@restorwerke bin ich am Überlegen. Also entweder eine fertige kaufen oder selber aufbauen. Habe halt null Erfahrung und man braucht ja schon relativ viel Spezialwerkzeug sage ich mal .. (Brenner, Flex usw)
@@BarschLiebhaber ja stimmt mit einem Schraubendreher kommt man nicht aus. Und am Ende kommt man finanziell auf das selbe hinaus selber restaurieren/ kaufen. Wenn sie den Spaß am fahren suchen dann lieber kaufen. Wenn als Projekt für eine Weile Zeit, dann restaurieren. Und wenn sie eine zum restaurieren kaufen möchten, muss die Substanz stimmen. Wichtig ist, das Papiere da sind, der Motor läuft und der Rahmen nicht durchgerostet ist. LG R.

That's a moped (motor and pedals) which essentially was a modified ordinary bicycle at first... It's not a scooter though since scooters do not have pedals... "All nuts and bolts must be removedc from the rust"... do you mean you keep the rust... and throw away the bolts and nuts???

Hallo Marcschmoll, danke :) ja mit der Bürste und chrompolitur mit Stahlwolle und dann mit Ovatrol behandelt da teilweise an stellen der Chrom nicht mehr vorhanden war. Schönen Gruß Restorwerke

В ультразвуковую свойства для чистки алюминия. А в ванну я заливал уксус. :)

Vielen Dank, nein das müssen sie nicht. Aber es ist alles sehr einfach ausgebaut. Wenn sie sich schon die Mühe machen, würde ich alles demontieren, reinigen und neu abdichten. Schöne Grüße

What you showed was very little, the restoration of the engine was not seen, it was not seen when you painted the parts that it was incomplete. No good.

Encontrei a restauração do motor em um outro vídeo Aos 14/15 anos de idade, tive uma igualzinha na cor azul Porém, como éra importada, não encontrava peças aqui Queria ter a oportunidade de ter outra para poder fazer o mesmo trabalho que você fez Esse carburador me deixava louco...rsrs Parabéns!!!!
