This channel is about my continuing adventures as my life during retirement continues. Going to be a variety of videos covering various experiences around the farm and while traveling around. Learning how to shoot then edit videos for all to enjoy. I realize that they are amateurish but I'm hoping it will add to the realism. Hopefully one day I'll get better.
We got snow
Well it's been 7 years since we last had snow here in southeast Georgia. This time we got more than last time. let's take a look this morning

We went to eat at the Down Under Restaurant at the bridge to Fernandina Beach. While waiting for our food we were surprised by the Train bridge. Just was our lucky day to get to see this.

Переглядів 257 місяців тому
On the second day we flew to Udon Thani Thailand and went to Nonghan to the hotel. It's close to where Winnie lives and I really liked the hotel the last time we were here. it's very clean and comfortable. Once again I used my Pixel and UA-cam Create.
Day 1, Bangkok Hotel

Our first day of or vacation back to Thailand. Last night we stayed at the Airport Courtyard, not affiliated with Marriott. It's close to the airport and has a shuttle. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. It has a very good breakfast buffet. I shot this video on my Pixel 7 and used the UA-cam Create for producing.
April Showers

Well we had just gotten dry from 2 and a half inches. Another storm came in last night and dumped almost 4 inches. It's been a wet and windy year here in Southeastern Georgia. I used my Akaso Brave since it was still sprinkling.

We start off the day by taking another walk in the French Quarters. It is fun seeing the city wake up. Sorry for the shaky video but I couldn't bring my best camera holder. Today we are going to walk to see Canal Street. Come along and see the city.
French Quarters we go to the River

Started off just walking in the French Quarters. While walking started hearing music that was getting louder. At the river was surprised to see the Natchez steamboat and the lady playing the calliope. It was a cool morning but the music was great.

We took a trip to New Orleans to visit Bourbon Street in the French Quarters. It is the end of January 2024 right before the Mardi Gras started. This is my first trip to the French Quarters.
The Blueberry Wine is ready
Переглядів 227Рік тому
The Blueberry wine has finished fermenting. It's time to bottle it. It is difficult to get Blueberry wine to ferment properly. This batch stopped fermenting and I had to open it up and stir it to get it going again. I only used: Blueberries, yeast, sugar, and water. I am a amateur but I enjoy making wine. Sometimes it is better than others.
The Bird gets the Worm
Переглядів 42Рік тому
I had just split up some old firewood. I found it was full of grub worms, so I put them in a can. The mockingbird was watching me and ate the ones I didn't pick up. After I cleaned up all the wood, he changed his attention to the can. I was amazed when he came in to steal the worms from the can.

Thanks, yet another place that I'll probably never be "going2see"...
G&W colors are my favorite.
Always great to see rural Thailand.
I find it peaceful.
@@Going2see except when a wedding is happening. When the music starts playing there can be no peace (and quiet). Lol
Nice

I enjoyed your video.
It was a theater!
Thank You that this video gave me great lesson of Carport. What is the size of carport and cost?
The carport is 20x24 feet. With the concrete pad it cost right at $5000.
Отец молодец
What's the distance between the frame, does anyone know
All metal structures are the way to go. They are quicker-cheaper-stronger-longer lasting-more handsome than wood structures. I laugh at farmers because out in country the buildings of choice are always pole barn construction. The idea is, a farmer can harvest trees off his property to use as the POLES at not cost to him making it the cheapest building. EXCEPT, most farmers dont have trees that will do so they buy POLES which makes the building more $$$$ than an all metal building. but, thats what grandad always put up. Yeah. !
What is the name of the company? I need one for myself.
Love the sound of those birds and looks like you live in a beautiful part of the country.
Very nice carport
Would it have been easier to install the anchor points during the concrete install?
The base came predrilled.
👍
Thats pretty cool. But not for the tree😅
Old Slave quarters made of Tabby, originally designed by the Indians.
What did he put on his shoes when they got that first roof panel on??
How much was for the Metal carport?
When I bought it $3000.00. I'm sure they have gone up now.
That's one nice alligator
The boss is the one recording the video 🙂. Great video
Need to take you guys to Lake Jackson Island where they filmed the movie Big Fish!

Hello...
They always know what they are doing! They are professionals, not amateurs!
Creative Adaptation of the metal wall studs!👍
What happened to part two and part 3. I have a freezer full of blueberries I picked this summer and would love to see how yours turned out. I have never made wine but thought it would be fun.
Hello, does this camera have no time limit in MP4 mode of video recording? Thanks
Hey , am from Pathankot . Are you Indian?
How much did it cost
what did that cost?
I enjoyed the entire video. I have just started comparing carrots and installers recently. Now that you've had this carport for a little while, what do you think about putting a few feet of wall from the top on down the sides? Not enough to cover the sides completely, just enough to keep the rising and setting sun off the vehicles. We're in the desert and the sun just destroys everything over time. Thanks for sharing your build. Nice job and good looking carport. BTW, did you compare pricing and builders before hiring this crew? Thanks again.
I did some research online before purchasing it locally. There were several websites with real good prices including the installation. Found a local place that the price was just as good. The material came out of Florida. It was their crew who installed it. I have seen pictures of where people have put half walls on them. I used to live out west and yes the sun merciless. It might give it a little more stability if your in a high wind area. Thanks for the review.
@@Going2see Thanks very much for the response and the info. Great job.
Thanks you so much for sharing this video 😍
Aunt Maggie probably knew it was they and planted around it and left it alone. She was a very smart woman.
Yeah probably, I just enjoy a challenge.
Thanks for sharing your shed assembly with us.
Yep I did watch the whole video! Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 can't wait to get mines...
Good idea to erect the frame simple and fast . Thank you God Bless.
Love this Marcus. I hope all is well in you Life on the Farm.
What happens after stirring it daily for a week?
You take the pulp out. Then transfer it to the second stage leaving the sediment. The second stage is when you use the fermintation lock. Let the gas out but keeps air out.
What gauge is the metal framing
Bravissimo.
How much do you pay???
Thank you. I can see my house, too.
Thought you would like that
